I visited Kouros Palace in June 2021 together with my friend. In general it's a nice hotel with amazing infrastructure, really nice food but also several flaws, including lack of information about basically anything. Starting from the positive sides: 1) Great location in the middle of Kos Island, perfect for trips both to Kefalos and Kos Town. Also close walking distance to Mastichari where you can find car rentals in good prices and several trip options. 2) Nice infrastructure with two pools, few bars and a clean beach, hotel very nicely kept and clean, beautiful scenery. 3) Bar and restaurant staff was extremely friendly and kind (with one exception, more information down below). 4) Tasty food with different options (also for vegetarians). 5) Restaurant and rooftop bar with amazing seaside view. On the other hand below some of not-so-nice experiences: 1) Lack of information about anything, we had to specifically ask ourselves about e.g. where the restaurant is, how to get to rooftop bar or what are the opening hours of the swimming pool. We had to either ask or check on the Internet website. No information card in the room. 2) Room was definitely not 5* standard, which was still OK as we only stayed there for sleeping and spent most of the time outside, however still to be mentioned. 3) Very unfriendly lady at the restaurant - there was no information about having to wear gloves at the restaurant (or very small information we might've missed) and we were literally scolded for not wearing those during the first night - in a very impolite way. 4) Staff speaking to us in German, despite the fact we reminded them we do not speak that language. We were asking questions in English and getting responses in German. Overall it's a really nice hotel with great potential, however there are still things to be improved, as the hotel seemed to be quite disorganised.

We had a great vacation in the hotel. The team is great and very friendly. The guy from the beach does a great job too. Such a remarkably clean beach. Much precise. Though the shower curtain in our room is to short. Also we haven't a hotel info folder with things like "do not disturb / please make our room" shield. We ask for it but they said they don't have one (but I think they don't understand what i'am looking for) doesn't matter,so nothing that our great vacation had disturb. Our room was very time perfect cleand. The Food was great the shop in front of the hotel have a lot of snacks and all stuff you need. Unfortunately the gym had closed due to the current situation. There a lot of German people in the hotel Finally, it's a great hotel and Kos is a beautiful place to be.

...... ☀️ 🌵 😎😎 🌴 ☀️ ...... We stayed here Sep/Oct 2019 and booked through jet2, the hotel was advertised as having a lot on offer, good entertainment and being not too far to travel around ! On the whole, we found this hotel to be fairly good and quite pleasant but certainly needs to look at “What is most definitely Not that great and put things right” Ok, I’ll start with the positive things as there were many, then go on to the unfortunate Things, that clearly need addressing. ~~~~~~~~ Here’s the good & positive things .. 😁 1) the reception staff were always helpful and smiling, couldn’t of done any more 2) the food was of very good standard, re filled and quite a good varied choice 3) the rooms were comfortable, cleaned daily and towels replaced as you require them 4) the location of the hotel, was nice being able to come out cross the road walk down past the shop/hire shop and down to the beech & beech bar .. (lovely views) 5) the drinks at the bars day & eve were served well and never had to wait too long Also the snacks at the bars during the day (hot & cold were nice too) 6) finally, the cleanliness of the hotel and grounds was always very good Ok so sounds great, but ~~~~ Here’s the not so good points .. 😕 1) whilst we were here they done almost all of the entertainment (daytime & evening) Only in 🇩🇪 “GERMAN LANGUAGE” 🇩🇪... why ? When there where guests staying from many different countries, why would you only do the entertainment in 1 language (this made a lot of other people from different visiting countries feel unwelcome! The hotel 1 eve done a “Rock night” and opened the show with a tribute to Freddy Mercury & Queen, yep .. but translated the whole show into “German” .. Prob just as well they didn’t try and do a Michael Jackson show we thought 2) the only music that the entertainment staff said they were allowed to play Daytime or evening “had to be on the accepted German play list” 3) even though the food was lovely, you were only allowed to have a cup of tea or Coffee with breakfast, whilst in the dining room at lunch & dinner you were not allowed ! So you couldn’t have a coffee after your desert or with a baclava. You also couldn’t get a drink anywhere once you had left the dinning room from breakfast, and until after 10am when the pool side bars opened. The day we left, we waited nearly 2 hours after breakfast to be picked up but wasn’t allowed or able to get a drink. 4) pool towels were available, but in short supply, not the best 5) this hotels location is quite remote, and apart from what the hotel has on offer there is nothing else that nearby, unless you hire a car or bike or go on a trip out. ~~~~~~~ On the whole we had a good holiday and the food was nice, but this whole experience could of been a whole lot better had we and others not been made to feel unwelcome. Will we be going back, prob not, shame. Hope this helps you all, regards, M x

My family with 2 small children (6&3) and 3 adults stayed in this hotel for a week. I have been lucky enough to travel extensively over the years and stayed in all the different rated stars of hotel/accommodations and this is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Check in / Reception Check in was easy, however be aware we had to pay 28€ each room for tax but this is the Greek government not the hotel who impose this. The reception guy was so friendly and helpful. We arrived late at night and the kids were hungry and tired. We were given soft drinks for them. Rooms This hotel have little Golf Buggies to take you to your room with your cases. In the room fridge, the hotel had put some sandwiches and water, which we greatly appreciated. The rooms are large with decent WIFI and air conditioning which worked really well. The bathroom has a hairdryer with shower over the bath. The hotel provides lots of toiletries (body lotion, shower gel and shampoo) The towels are changed every day and the rooms are cleaned to a high standard. All in all great rooms and service. It took 2 minutes to walk from our room to the restaurant. Food Where do I begin, the food is fantastic with so many choices. Fish, meat, salad bar, pasta, rice. The best hotel food I have ever had. Drinks include, fruit juice, Coke, Diet Coke, wine, beer at lunch and dinner. We didn’t take advantage of the a la carte restaurant so I can’t review this. Be prepared to expand your waist line 😂 Pool There are two main pools - each has a children’s pool too, both are spotless with free towels supplied anytime you want them. These pools are on 2 levels with a small changing hut. Spa My daughter had a Spa massage which she said was really good. Supermarket There is a supermarket across the road which is stocked with milk, water, juice and tourist gifts. This is the only shop in the area and is quite expensive. Car Hire Next to the supermarket is a car hire place. The guy was friendly and really laid back. My 2 day car hire was 60€ and you take the car back full of fuel. Beach Bar The buggy will take you to the beach where the hotel has put rocks around the area in which kids can paddle safely - genius idea. Sun beds are on the beach, with a short walk 50 mtrs to the beach bar. The bar serves snacks and drinks. A great place to relax. Tennis and Football. There is a tennis court and five a side football pitch which are in really good condition. Staff The staff (and I mean all of them) are brilliant. They are so kind and helpful. The Greek people love children and made a big fuss of my grandchildren. Thanks to everyone for making our holiday so special, we really did appreciate it. Alcohol Myself and my family don’t drink alcohol but we make up for it with soft drinks. All inclusive can get local vodka, Gin, Bacardi etc and free cocktails with non-alcoholic cocktails for the children. There are two bars each serving drinks, snacks tea, coffee etc. Be aware, the hotel is a bit out the way but don’t be put off by this, car hire is cheap and you can get a bus to Kardamena. Kardamena This is 5 kilometres from the hotel and is quite tourist driven. Well worth a trip with normal tourist gift items. Kos Town We drove to Kos town for the day which was smashing. A lovely place with lots of shops and restaurant. Be aware, with the Greek economy beginning to recover, items are not cheap. Entertainment There is a mini disco each night for the kids which my grandchildren loved. The two girls who did the disco were lovely. The main entertainment starts at 9pm with everything from Greek dancing to acrobats to Rock & Roll. Don’t expect Las Vegas standard but the performers put in a lot of effort. Returning Home We booked with Jet2 holidays and the communication and service was first class. We will definitely book with Jet 2 again. Th duty free at Kos airport is small and expensive. For the smokers 200 cigarettes are about 45€. Again I don’t smoke so I don’t know if that is cheap or not. Duty free is disappointing. In summary Food is five star Rooms are five star Staff are ten star Services five star. Cleanliness five star You really should give this hotel a try, we loved it and are going back next year. The hotel closes on the 31st October and reopens in April 2020 but we will book the same week next year because the hotel was quieter which we preferred. I am going with Jet 2 again next year as they were first class. Kouros Hotel Please accept my family’s sincere thanks for making our holiday so perfect. You should be proud of yourselves, thank you, my family really do appreciate it. See you next year.
