Tranquil setting with a huge garden/orchard going down to a river. Excellent attention to detail within our accommodation. Beautiful decor. The owner loves to explore the local antique markets and lots of his purchases make for an eclectic but tasteful interior. Lots of places to sit out doors, BBQ area. Our host, Patrick was very informative and helpful. Good, simple...

We try to find the best B&B in this area. With help from Tripadvisor we found Bishop Rest. Nice quiet area, big room and lovely garden. Friendly owner who helps you with selecting the best restaurant nearby. It's absolutely worth a stop if you're in this area.

The garden running alongside the river transported us to another world. We enjoyed our picnic and a bottle of wine listening to the birds and the church bells. The sculptures and creativity both in the garden and the house don't fail to inspire and uplift. Our twin room with double aspect windows and really comfy beds was just what we...

We rented the entire Bishop's Rest for family and friends for a birthday weekend. It was a wonderful experience. Such a quiet and relaxing place. The rooms are so beautiful and we loved the garden. Breakfast was excellent. There are several excellent restaurants in the area if you would like to go out for a nice dinner. Highly recommendable.

What an elegant yet cosy, charming French interior style and especially the beautiful huge garden besides the small river - a little paradise, quiet and peaceful! We enjoyed ourselves and certainly will come back one day.

My wife and I stayed at Bishop's Rest for just one night in transit to Italy. If I had realised what a delightful place it was I think we would have arranged to stay for 2 or 3 days. The accommodation is set out in a single house with two bedrooms, a sitting room, kitchen and bathroom on each floor....

My husband and I had been very busy and needed a rest. What a delight it was when we arrived at Bishop's Rest to be welcomed so warmly by Patrick. Our accommodation in the first floor apartment was just right, comfy twin beds and stylish decoration and furnishings. Our friend joined us for the second night of our stay and...

I stayed there with my family just before the New Year, during our road trip across Europe. We stayed in the maisonette for two nights that turned out to be just perfect for us. It has lots of charm and character, as well as everything you'd need during your stay. The owner, Patrick, was very charming and friendly – it's...

We stayed here during our weekend of the St. Martin, and we were quite pleased. Our friends stayed there one night before we arrived, and their description was "so British" and they were so right. The owner was very friendly and accomodating. The decor was in very well taste. We stayed downstairs, but we got the chance to look at...

Stayed here as it was close to the race site where we were competing with our dogs. And what a find it was! Delighted to have discovered Patrick and his pretty perfect accommodation. Patrick couldn't have been a more charming, helpful host and the accommodation suited us brilliantly. Clean, tidy, well furnished and very comfortable. The breakfast supplies were delicious...
