This is just a review of a visit to the winery. We spent 7 days in this region of France and Riviere was by far our favorite Chateau to visit. Amazing tour, just breath taking property and chateau. The quarry is miles and miles of underground wine storage with graffiti from hundreds of years ago. Note - this was not...

This place is a wonderful place to tour but somewhat south of mediocre to taste. The tour of the wonderful quarry/ caves was special and makes the trip worthwhile. The caves were actually used by the French resistance during ww2 and you can actually feel that vibe in the caves. The wine tasting was not very good. We tasted the...

The Chateau de la Riviere is a large structure, reached via a very long driveway. There is a hotel complex in the old building, which has splendid views of the valley. There is a pool where the ladies used to dip their toes in the fresh spring that runs through the property. The highlight is the tour of the caves,...

We went to Chateau de la Riviere for a Bastille day concert and tour, This chateau is set in a most beautiful area of Bordeaux overlooking the Dordogne. For € 10 per person we had a tour of the chateau and caves containing 500,000 bottles of wine plus a four hour live arts performance which was amazing. With wine and...

This is a great place to stay. The rooms and very large and luxurious. Natalie, the woman that manages it cooks the most delicious breakfast each morning and the view of the vineyards below is absolutely breathtaking. You also must take a tour of the Cavres underneath the property. It is a truly neat experience. The only complaint is that...

This is a beautiful Chateau. Artistic Gourmet Adventures will be conducting their small group tours using this chateau as a base. The staff are wonderful and the food is delicious. Set among the vineyards.

My wife and I went on a wine tour in late May 2012, it was unbelievable. The room, setting, atmosphere, breakfast, surroundings were pure luxury. We liked it so much that in September of 2013 we went back, this time with 8 friends from all over the United States. (California, Ohio, Maryland, Washington, D.C.) and everyone wants to return in...

You will definitely feel like a princess while bathing in that marble tub - the rooms are enormous, the beds are comfortable, and the views are absolutely amazing. You are about 45 min from downtown Bordeaux and from the Dordogne region. It's pefectly situated for touring the region. And, Nathalie is a wonderful hostess - you will love this place!...

We stayed at Chateau de la Riviere for 3 nights in May. We were there for a Bordeaux wine tour and Riviere was so beautiful and cozy. You do need to have a car or some kind transportation to get to the chateau as it is about 30min drive from Bordeaux city center. The chateau was originally a 4th century...
