Immediately upon walking in, the girls were catcalled... We felt very uncomfortable as a group and noticed older men still staring at the girls. The owner is drinking with everyone and too forward. The outdoor seating isn’t very pleasant - looks like his kids garden with toys left everywhere. The ‘staff’ if you can call them that were leaning into us with no masks and gave us a bowl of wet nuts. Not a pleasant place at all. We left as soon as we could. The name suggests a cute cottage pub - the actual place is the opposite - an old racist/homophobic/sexist mans heaven.

This place has all around bad vibes. The owner is too friendly and it’s quite scary. 3 of the girls within our group were immediately cat-called by a bunch of old, disgusting, and most likely married, men. It has such an uncomfortable atmosphere for anyone. The pistachio nuts served to us were wet and sticky; served by a woman with no mask. The place overall just looks very dodgy and creepy; not to mention to horror of the layout of this “beer garden”; it looks like a backgarden with a bunch of fairy lights and benches- the review images are a total lie and absolute scam! I will not recommended.

Where do I start! This place should be shut down!!! Landlord was over friendly to the point that you knew something wasn’t right! The whole place needs a complete refurb, I’ve seen better mattresses at the dump! There was a kettle in the room but you could only use it on the floor as the lead wasn’t long enough to sit elsewhere, there was no coffee in the establishment, one room didn’t have a shower screen on, the towels were damp on arrival and the bed linen old and not ironed. One bed had a sheet that didn’t fit, the windows were so old you could’ve poked your finger through it and they didn’t close properly. There certainly weren’t any safety instructions should you need to get out quick. Breakfast was included in the price, however we weren’t asked what we wanted it was just served up in a matter of about 2 minutes of his arrival so there was no way that was cooked from fresh! The bar hardly had any drinks available and the pool table was used until very late at night/early morning. Not somewhere I would ever want to stay again!!! On the way out we noticed there was a sign attached to the lamppost from the council stating that it was under investigation and it appeared it was about to lose its licence-well there’s a surprise!!!! Make your own judgement from that!

The owners are clearly putting on there own good reviews. This health hazard of a place should be shut down ! Filthy room . owners get drunk with there children present until early hours. No breakfast offered as they then stay in bed leaving guests to find a way out of the place as front door locked! Very surprised the council havent closed it down.
