Lovely food made from local ingredients - some from their own farm. We felt part of the family - their children were playing football on the lawn, with great good nature. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We had a nice bedroom with a sitting room and kitchen attached.

My wife and I are cycling from Passau to Vienna and passed through Mitterkirchen at lunch-time today. Slightly hidden from view of the main road we heard happy voices and thought we might find food - so we ventured down the lane. There was a outdoor dining area with rustic seating protected from the sun, so we ventured in. What...

We stopped by for lunch, unsure they'd be open on Sunday. Our host told us we were the first bikers of the season and welcomed us warmly. We had great lunches, and even enjoyed a side-dish of savory bread pudding, which wasn't on the menu as such. Our meal, desserts, and wine was surprisingly inexpensive for such quality. Try the...

Mitterkirchen was the first stop on our Linz to Vienna Danube bike tour. We were rained on much of this leg and arriving at this farmhouse was a blessing. The family that runs it is very friendly and outgoing (and speak very good English). The meal (farmer's sausages and roast pork) was delicious. The rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable.

Stayed one night while cycle touring the Danube. Family of four in two rooms. Had a delicious lunch of farm-baked bread and various fantastic meat cuts, all at reasonable price. The real selling point was the fantastic apple and pear ciders that are made on site (and for which the family have won numerous awards). The farm is rustic -...

A random stop on the Danube bike trail, and we found this place, with friendly staff (Mr.Andreas Moser !), a beautiful and quiet room, local (and very good) food, for a very reasonable price. It is also possible to buy local products unfortunately we couldn't seize the chance since we were traveling by bike. Definitely recommended

Check In – Very straight forward. A tour bus was just leaving after some apple cider tasting. We were shown to our rooms by young Michael. Rooms – Our rooms were side-by-side and ready for us. Farmhouse style room one green theme, one blue. The television didn’t pick up any stations, we didn’t speak German so this wasn’t an issue....

We stayed at the Moser guest house in Mitterkirchen whilst cycling the Danube. We were in a new wing that has only just been renovated. We were a couple and adult son and our "room" was actually three rooms - double bedroom, separate single bedroom, and a small living area with table and TV. Nicely layed out and very comfortable...
