Quinta do Scoto is the perfect retreat to relax, re-energize, and mull over your day's worth of learnings and experiences. The lodging is extra comfortable, unusually spacious, and thoughtfully supplied with most anything you might need or have readily available in our own home. And Tony and Penny provide the ultimate warm welcome, complete with coaching and encouragement to face...

If you are looking for a sterile, box type hotel chain, go look somewhere else! My wife and I would consider Quinta Do Scoto as a boutique hotel with the only thing missing would be a doorman in a penguin suit with brass buttons! This would be more than made up for by Penny, Tony, daughter Charlotte and the small...

I recently stayed at Quinta do Scoto with 4 of my friends on our annual girls trip. The two night stay was the kick off of our vacation to Portugal and what a great way to start. Tony and Penny welcomed us with open arms and a glass of wine. The two room suite was roomy enough for the 5...

We have just returned from a 6 week stay in Portugal. In the third week we stayed at Quinta do Scoto for several nights for the first time. We were so impressed that we cancelled a booking at another hotel in the area to stay a second time when we were back in the area. The reviews I have read...

Wonderful place to stay with huge beautiful rooms. Absolutely charming hosts, who provide an excellent breakfast. We have stayed in the Sintra region on 10 other occassions and have been searching for the perfect place to stay and this it is. We will return. The location is in a cute village , but yet close enough for all sightseeing in...

The Quinta do Scoto deserves the rave reviews it has received. We recently stayed twice, 6 weeks apart. On our return we were welcomed like old friends. Tony and Penny have thought of everything to make your stay a pleasure - spacious rooms; lovely linens and towels; a fresh fruit bowl; coffee, tea and biscuits and of course the complimentary...

We stayed in the Marquis de pombal suite with our 3 year old and 8 month old for 10 days. The room was perfect as it was huge and had an interconnecting room for the children. The underfloor heating was just right to keep us all warm as the weather was a bit cooler than expected for this time of...

We were in Portugal for 3 weeks, staying at Quinta do Scoto for the first 4 nights and the remaining 2 of our visit. Tony and Penny could not have been more helpful and kind. Our room was spacious with heated floors and complimentary beverages of all sorts. Their chickens provide fresh eggs with yolks blindingly gold. The surroundings are...
