A fabulous hotel. Friendly, charming - rooms are cosy, warm, plenty of hot water! Staff are incredibly friendly, cheerful and helpful. Food is amazing - and amazing value : four course very night for dinner, brilliant breakfast spread with home made cakes etc. We stayed over new Year and enjoyed the special meal - six courses, champagne, all the trimmings....

Our 3rd stay at this lovely family run hotel, this time we stayed over New Year. Faultless service, lovely comfortable rooms, generous amounts of food, an excellent hotel, and overall another great stay.

We stayed at the Hotel Castor in December 2016. The service was superb. The owner, Herman, even drove one of our family to the doctors, translated and drove us to the pharmacy to help us out. The food was very good and there is a cosy bar with a fun music night once a week. Rooms were clean and comfortable...

Merry Christmas and New Year to yourselves and we hope to see you again soon.

16 of us wanted somewhere for dinner and asked the hosts if we could run a quiz. We ended up with ten teams and had an amazing night, mainly because we were plied with booze all night. Lovely dinner, great value, excellent location and lots of fun. Hermann and Beatrice were awesome, thanks for your hospitality

Dear Guest, thank you for your review of our hotel. We constantly try to make our client's holiday a perfect moment and it's nice when we know that it's been a good attempt. The hotel is a hystorical hotel in Champoluc, so some aspects may loook tired although we invest every year to renew some parts. The wi fi too...

My friend and I were staying, half-board, at the Hotel Breithorn in Champoluc recently. The staff took every Monday off so the guests needed to find their own evening meal that night. We chose to dine at Hotel Castor, one minute's walk from The Breithorn, and had a first-class meal! We both chose the salmon trout fillet cooked in red...

Wood, wood wood – wood everywhere. And that's absolutely lovely. Fairly good sized rooms with original interior in good condition. It's a classic skier's hotel with a very comfy bar and lounge, perfect hangout for people travelling in groups. Lots of Scandinavians and a very friendly (and quite international) staff. (Well, at least some Swedes...) :-) Very nice surroundings and...

What a charming hotel! Spent a full week on the third floor with a beautiful view of the village and church bell tower. We came with a large ski group of Forty from America. Herman and Bea the mangers/owner are so wonderful! They are extremely accommodating and gracious along with all the other staff. The hotel is hundreds of years...

This is our third visit to Hotel Castor skiing. It is a very friendly family hotel with superb staff. It's such an easy place to feel at home and relax after a good days skiing, Champaluc is also a great resort to ski as a group of differing abilities.

“Higher floors will give you a better outlook and not all rooms have balconies. Rooms above the restaurant offer the best views. Champoluc is a quiet village with limited après attractions so bring your own! If you don't like "rustic" accommodation then look elsewhere but you can't fault the service here and everything works? The hotel is a 10min walk to the gondola but get out early to catch the 0840 bus which will take you there or further up the valley to the Frachey funicular. Hate to share but the best restaurant on the hill is on run C3 just off Ostafa, excellent food and service and away from the crowds as not on a main route.”
