The staff in this hotel are very welcoming, friendly and will do their upmost to keep you satisfied with your stay. We stayed in a traditional Ryokan style room which was really unique, as long as you don't mind sleeping on a very thin mattress on a tatami mat ! Great location too, 10-15 min walk or a 5 min drive into Fujikawaguchiko town where there's a number of restaurants and a supermarket.

A lovely Onsen hotel with excellent food. Unforgettable view of Mount Fuji from the Onsen. Also the roof top. Big room with a view of the lake. They picked us up from the train station promptly. Dropped us off. Friendly staff. Onsen is rotated for the men and women so that both the sexes can have the spectacular view of Mount Fuji! If you want You can pay about 3000 Yen for a private |Onsen for 40 mins. We loved our stay. The only thig we missed was coffee! The breakfast area should have a coffee maker I think as many tourists were from the US/Canada/Australia and the UK.

I would like to share my bad experience as I was a walk in guest for your premises. My bad experience was I offended and dissappointed by the service provided by one of the front office staffs when I was about to ask him about their restaurant available is. He just suddenly reacted to my presence by saying " No, No hotel guest only “ ( raised both of his hands ) without offering the hospitality manner just like the standard procedure of hotel in general. The question to you: Has any staffs in your hotel received hospitality training? Does your staff provide bad service for walk in guests? Can you imagine the way he looked at us like we were beggar who had come to ask for a donation or free meal. Never judge your prospective guest based on their appearance. Your staff is very rude and impolite !!! Please provide him more training how to provide warmhearth hospitality.

Great experience . The room is clean and we chose the Lake View. You should always opt in for dinner, which is great value and they really stuffed you. The meal was one of the best we had in Japan. The kids love it too. The exterior of the hotel is a little tired though and we feel transported to early 90s. The onsen is rather empty and we love the outdoor onsen. For the man, they even have an additional outdoor onsen on the 5th floor. The hotel is on the green line which only has shuttle bus once per hour, which is not as convenient. The Ryokan has however free shuttle bus service from the station till 8pm, which you just need to call from the station pay phone.

This is a decently nice, large ryokan-style hotel but it feels a bit old and shabby like a pre-bubble hotel which is past its glory days. The location was a lot more isolated than we were expecting, you really should have a car if you stay here as there is little in the immediate area and it's a decently long walk to the rest of town. I strongly disagree with the "good for walkers" walkability rating that Tripadvisor gives it. The car does offer a free shuttle four times a day to Kawaguchiko station though which is nice. The rooms (at least the ones we stayed in) were ryokan style with tatami and futons. Both me and my companion found the futons very difficult to sleep in. I didn't get a good night's sleep any of my nights and woke up sore even after requesting an extra futon for support. The public onsen on the fourth floor was very nice and in my opinion quite large. Lastly, the WiFi ranged from terrible to passable. It would vary a bit from hour to hour but was often nearly unusable. This is not a "bad" hotel by any means, just know what you're getting into. This place probably was more impressive back in the day but today feels slightly run down and not very modern.

Our room package included dinner and food was good after all. Friendly staff from the bus driver, reception and restaurant staff. The only bad point in this hotel was it was old and not worth to pay for 600usd for a night. Room very was old and the wallpaper on the wall was very dirty and torn. Time for some renovation going on and lower down the price would be much appreciated it. Lastly many mosquito at the roof top and was bitten up.

I have stayed in this ryokan for 2 nights, heard that it has fifty years old with fifty rooms. Their staff are polite and can communicate with English, enjoyed their onsen and sauna. Their traditional onsen dinner is nice, while breakfast is buffet style. Unfortunately Mount Fuji was hiding during my staying, otherwise should be able to see it each morning.
