Good and clean rooms. Nice views of the lake and mountains. Easy access from Kawaguchiko train station on foot. Good open-air hot bath offered with nice view. Breakfast quality was average. Some guests were a little noisy and inconsiderate.

Staying in this hotel, you experience a bit of the Japanese lifestyle as there are no bed but just mats & mattresses to sleep on. Thee are also Kimenos in the rooms which you can wear and head out straight for dinner like a Japanese ;-)

This hotel had, first and fore-most, a great view of the lake. The bedding was very comfortable, and if you prefer a softer bed like I do, good news: there's tons of extra bedding in the closet. The room itself was quite large and was adequately appointed. The hotel lobby itself is unique, though: you can play table tennis, arcade...

Stayed there for 2 days as part on 18th and 19th May. The rooms were large traditional rooms with great views of the lake and there was both an open-air onsen like bath as well as an indoor one. Breakfast was extensive although food quality could be better. There were some facilities like table tennis, internet and wi-fi (only at...

This hotel was a strange mix of concrete and traditional Japanese style. The breakfast (not included) was extensive in a huge, rather faded dining room- quite a fun experience with lovely staff. The bedroom had great views over the lake- you can't see Fuji from this angle though. Lovely matt floors and balcony/view room, with tea provided at a low...

I enjoyed my stay at this traditional Japanese hotel. It was a completely different experience vs. other hotels in Japan. However it's difficult for me to judge whether the other traditional hotels in the area are better or worse than this. What's good: * rooms are Japanese style with tatami mats. have a balcony overlooking the lake which means you...
