Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I loved my stay in this hotel. The room was spacious and exactly what I expected. The view was amazing and there was eye for all detail. The only thing I would change is the fact that there is no room service and you can only book your evening meal at a certain time. I did have a meal on my first night and it was delicious! On the second night, I had plans for the private Onsen (which was great!) so I had to arrange another way of feeding myself. The staff was helpful, but it meant that I had to order some very simple food from outside. This is just a pity... it detracted from the wonderful experience I had.

Sublime service, especially with the shuttle service to and from the town. The dinner and breakfast service was also very memorable and stand outs with the contemporary fusion of Japanese and French elements. Great views of mt fuji when the weather cooperates. Also love the Christmas decor and music all over the hotel when visiting in November

Excellent spot in Shibuya. It is a reasonably sized hotel that feels like a Ryoken. Really intimate feel. Welcomed by warm staff with some English. Yes rooms are small but you feel that this is a Japanese experience. Comfortable beds with views of Tokyo skyline. Onsen amazing- both indoors and out looking across Tokyo. Breakfast traditional Japanese- was delicious but could have had a change after 5 days. Fabulous introduction to Japan at a very good price

Really great hotel to visit if you plan to travel to Mount Fuji. It was about 15 minutes from the main train station and the hotel would come and pick you up if you called them. They also had a timed shuttle to the train station, which was really excellent to get there and back from the main town. The rooms were very clean and really nicely decorated. The hotel features a lot of art on all the walls and has an amazing library and bar in the lobby. It is really boutique style and was very very cool. We didnt eat in the hotel but understand that there is a restaurant that operates on some days and you need to book ahead. There are a number of good local Japanese restaurants within walking distance. The view out to Mount Fuji and across the lake from the hotel is amazing. We took the bus from Tokyo to get to Kawaguchico Train Station, which is the most direct way to do the trip without having to change along the way. This is the closest train station to the hotel. The bus sometimes leaves from the building next door to Tokyo Station (which was a little confusing) and tickets could be bought on line in advance or at Tokyo Station on the day. The hotel is a bit more expensive than I would usually stay in, but very good value for a luxury hotel in this area and a lot cheaper than the others. It was a great experience.

An absolutely lovely place to stay with outstanding views and even better staff! Turning up to the hotel we had our bags taken away and they magically appeared in the room as we enjoyed a welcome drink. The roof top bar has one of the best views you could ever ask for, as a panorama it has to be up there thanks to the centrepiece that is Mt. Fuji. The decor is eclectic, art everywhere, and it’s just a really lovely place to walk around and look at all the objects and trinkets. Thursday and Friday breakfast closures are a bit lost in translation, you can still get a great toasted sandwich and drinks (tea/coffee/juice etc.). There’s a shuttle bus to town in the evening but it’s an easy walk, and they’ll drive you to the station if you need it in the morning. We had a car, parking was easy and free, great to get further afield but you can also use hotel bikes. Truly great stay, and definitely stay there again if/when we come back! Thank you everyone at Mizno Hotel!

Very nice hotel with extremely helpful staff. Great view to mt. Fuji. Nice clean room. We booked the American breakfast what was really nice and had one night the Japanese dinner. Great service from the restaurant, most are Nepalese and are very attentive and nice. Front desk is vert helpful and you can get free electrical bikes. Shuttle service to the station. Service in this hotel can’t be better. You have to book dinner and breakfast in advance, otherwise you can’t get it. Buses at the station to mtFuji leave after 10.40am so we took a taxi at 5.30 and started walking at 7am

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Our western style room had an outstanding view of Mt Fuji from our private veranda. The beds were very comfortable and it was a delight to wake up to the view of Mt Fuji. We had the French dinner, which was delicious with many small courses. The public bath was a perfect temperature, and again with a spectacular view of Mt Fuji. The Japanese breakfast was really good and just the right amount. Great coffee! Service from all the staff was friendly and efficient. Overall a wonderful stay.

Couldn’t Recommend more. We’ve stayed at Mizuno for a night. The stylish lobby and decoration caught our eyes as well as the politeness of the staffs those caught our hearts. The check-in was very smooth, the room extremely clean, large and very well equipped for this reasonable price. The outdoor bath on the roof with Mt. Fuji was very stunning. The dinner at the hotel was specious and truly recommendable. Sammy at the bar was very friendly as he makes best drinks to guests. Location was superb by the lake. More over, the owner came to greet us on our checkout with kindest hospitality. We couldn’t recommend this place more and will definitely be back at Mizuno every time we return to Mt. Fuji.

Mt Fuji is the obvious attraction here, and (when visible) there are great views from most vantage points in the hotel (although there is a headland on the lake that partly obscures the lower flanks of the mountain), but Mizno certainly doesn't rest on its laurels. Staff are highly attentive and helpful; there's a free transfer service to and from Kawaguchiko Station; both the Japanese and Western breakfasts are fantastic; the lobby/lounge/bar floor is very homely and luxurious with plenty on interesting art, books and furniture and the free e-bikes are great for exploring the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko. The rooms are spacious and mine had a large balcony/terrace with views over the lake and to Fuji. The onsen is equally well-appointed. Unfortunately the rooftop bar was closed during my stay, but the downstairs bar has a great ambience in the evenings. Dining options in the immediate area are limited - the only drawback really.

Past few years, I already visit Fujikawago 3 times. I try many hotel and AirBNB. And now I found this Family hotel is my greatest choice among all. They have a good pick up bus. The staff is very well welcoming when enterance lobby. The room is nice and clean with a big lobby showing a spectacular view to the valley and lake. The Onsen is very comfort and amazing view and silent night. They have a great bar you must try. The Bartender is friendly. And one more they have Electric bike to free rent. You can use it all the day to visit many place around (even go to inside village). Oh, they have a lot of book to read.
