We based ourselves at Casa San Gabriel for a month, mixing days of sight-seeing in the many beautiful nearby towns and cities - including Perugia and Florence - with lazy days by the pool, which has one of the most magnificent views I've ever swum by! We travelled from the other side of the world with three small children (5...

To be honest, we've wrestled with our consciences over this - we were rather torn between leaving an honest review or keeping this place a secret (we want to be sure it's not fully booked when we try to arrange a return visit). Our consciences won out, so here goes... Much of what we have to say has been said...

All of the family (2 adults - 2 teenage girls) had a wonderful week in this very authentic and charming restaurated farm house in the hills in the North of Perugia. The pool is super : quiet, astonishing view, big enough to do some lengths and the pool furniture is ok (umbrellas + soft seats, shadow if you want) The...

This was our second time staying in a vacation rental in Italy. Last year was perfect and we didn't think it could get any better, but it was. The views were exactly what we wanted. You can spend hours on end just looking at the different shades of green. It's also nice that you can see only 5 houses around...

A quiet rustic setting nestling into the Umbrian hills. Our hosts, David and Chrissie made our stay a very special experience. Accommodation is pleasant without being luxurious but the view is to die for. Close to Perugia and within easy reach of some of the more beautiful hill-top towns. On a hot summers day lying in the pool looking toward Assisi...

A really lovely place to stay, so good this was our second trip. The little cottages have everything you need and the owners couldn't be more friendly. The scenery is lovely and the location is convenient for exploring Italy. Thoughly recommend.

Couldnt recommend this place enough. The hosts Chrissie and David are very pleasant and knowledgable on the area and are more than happy to provide assistance but seem to also know when to leave you alone. Lovely pool with the most incredible view and plenty of short walks around the property to take in the countryside and said Ciao to...

What a perfect place to stay when travelling with a young child. The cottage was small & compact but it did provide everything you would need. Chrissie and David were able to lend things such as cot, high chair, bath, toys and books which our daughter loved. She had such a blast playing in the pool & playground. The location...

We stayed for 2 weeks and could have stayed longer. The location is excellent - utterly beautiful views, perfectly quiet evenings so you can hear the nightingales and watch the fireflies. Great accommodation - very clean and extremely well kept. The owners couldn't have made our holiday easier - we have a 1.5 year old little girl and they made...

We loved so much about Casa San Gabriel:- The remoteness off the main road which led us up to a perfect hill top situation with the best views we could have imagined. The beautifuly renovated farmers buildings with apposite privacy. (The kitchenette was a bit basic with no draining area but ample gas and electric hob and well equiped etc,...
