U Pattaya has garnered positive opinions for its value, particularly the pool rooms and happy hour offerings. The hotel's design fuses sophistication with traditional elements, creating a tropical oasis as attested by numerous guests. Exceptional service is a highlight, with staff earning accolades for their warmth and attention to detail.
While the rooms receive praise for comfort and aesthetics, some visitors mention occasional noise and outdated features. The hotel's cleanliness and array of amenities, including an infinity pool, private beach, and varied dining, ensure a luxurious stay.

So what differentiates a 4 from a 5 star hotel?
Both will have the best facilities, rooms, restaurants , location etc, etc.
But what makes the difference I believe is the welcoming, smiling ,genuinely concerned staff which is what you can expect here.
From the front desk to the restaurant people to the cleaning staff everyone has a smile and makes you feel like you are genuinely welcome.
The facilities are top drawer and you will feel very comfortable staying here.

Chose the resort due to online photos search/survey and it's great to be here. U Pattaya has various spots for your great Instagram posts such as lobby, the wooden spiral staircase, resort walkway covered by sea trees, the infinity pool plus its beach front area. The deluxe room with outdoor bath tub is great, we love this room more as it's spacious with areas, views even though this hotel has no lift and if you stay on 3rd floor, you may need to do excersice while walking up and down. The breakfast is variety, delicious and we do love the view while enjoying the breakie. The floatation (duck and pony and its friends) is for rent, and we rented for an hour - It's cool, except that we got asked by different staff to pay twice even though we did signed the bill to our room. The rest is great, worth a relaxed trip, honeymoon or event an escape trip from busy Bangkok.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
We’ve been here many times. It’s usually a quiet getaway 30 minutes from Pattaya. A great place to come and relax and unwind.
From today that’s all changed. The neighboring property has decided to begin construction. They chose a Saturday morning on Chinese New Year weekend to begin. It is ear piercing loud through the entire resort. Forget the spa - it’s a couple meters from heavy duty construction equipment as are some of the most expensive rooms.
The staff at U Pattaya were all seemingly caught off guard by this. They apologized and it seems there is simply nothing that can be done. But the workers apparently have a permit that allow them to finish at 17:00 each day. It’s 17:20 now and it’s as loud as ever even though noise cancelling headphones with music on.
Basically it’s a really nice place, but call ahead and make sure this construction is over before you come. If the construction is going on for a long duration, the hotel should offer deep discounts and put a warning on their website.
We were offered late checkout as compensation. The last thing we need is more hours spent sitting by the pool listening to steel being driven into concrete. They should offer a full refund instead and allow us to go stay somewhere that isn’t next to a construction site.
Also, f&b here is great for Thai tastes, but not a lot of Western food and almost no vegetarian food. An easy and obvious place where they can improve.

Hi, we are a return guest of 3 adults and 1 toddler. We chose to stay at U Pattaya because the room was beautiful and clean and the breakfast was amazing when we visited back a few months ago. However, this time our experience was completely different and we would never go back to U Pattaya or its franchise again as we believe with the price range, we can get better services. We hope these comments will provide you some insight so you can make sure other guests are happy during their stays.
THE ROOM - when we arrived this time on Thursday the 7th and checked in at 7pm, we expected that we would get a clean room after such a late arrival but the patio stank with cats urine. The hotel staff wasn't bothered but only apologized to us. Once we used the shower and the bath, the water heat was so hot that the pipe did hurt our skin. Please look into this as it burned one of our family members. We were lucky enough that it didn't hurt our child.
THE BREAKFAST - Last time we were so impressed that the breakfast line was full of variety of food choices. This time we went in around 8.30am and it was almost empty. I'm just wondering why you don't refill as there are other guests who haven't eaten? You served us some soy milk from the bottom of the pot. We ordered some eggs and had to wait for almost half an hour. .. why? We expect to have the same standard quality of service with such price but you can't keep up at all.
Overall we didn't have a good experience here during our last stay. We were so disappointed and actually quite upset that it was the way it was. Hope this will help you with your future guests.
Thanks

Upon arrival I felt directly that it will be a great stay. Warm sincere welcoming from all the staff on the parking and at the reception. I booked a sea view room, spacious, large balcony with jacuzzi and a ceiling fan, nice touch as I stay mostly outside the room.
The gardens are perfectly well maintained, many trees perfect for privacy and still enjoying the sea view.
At the restaurant “Papillon “the food is very tasteful, the staff professional and helpful.
Thank you to all the Team for making it a memorable stay, first time I tried a U resort, I will definitely try other locations from the brand in the future.

To escape the buzz of Bangkok we sometimes like to go to the seaside to unwind, peace and quiet with the wind in the trees and the sound of waves breaking on the shore. I have been to U Hotel Pattaya twice before and remember it as a suitable and pleasant place.
First the good stuff: reception is friendly and efficient. The room is spacious with a separate sofa and a balcony with jacuzzi. The restaurant serves good food. The swimming pool is very wide but offers little shade when sitting there.
But then. No peace and quiet. This place has also fallen for the misconception that we need to be entertained at all time and all cost. So in the restaurant there are a number of loudspeakers, as there are also around the pool area. They produce a monotonous computer generated nerving beat that can not be classified as music by any definition. Sold per gigabyte probably. Even through my own headphones I could hear it. This made the stay around the pool area so unpleasant that I preferred the room. I cannot relax in such an environment. But that is not why I came here of course. Amazing how a potentially nice atmosphere can be spoilt. Third time and most likely last.

On our first night, of course being from the UK, I ordered the fish and chips and I must say that it was easily the best fish and chips I've had in 17 years of living in Thailand. The batter was the right texture and taste, not too crispy not too soft. The fish was fresh without the heaviness of the grease or fat which had clearly already been given time to be absorbed in the kitchen. It was complimented with a portion of chips that were hot, fresh and crispy.
Furthermore, the breakfast was excellent. The bacon was crispy, not too greasy, and surprisingly quality sausages, not the processed kind.
All round excellent service who brought us great coffee with a selection of fresh fruit, juice, as well as cereal and bakery with the added bonus of being served until 11.00 am
There was no need to leave the resort. We had all our meals with a fantastic view and chilled ambience.
The staff are excellent and very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Very warm welcome staff, especially the restaurant staff.
- Love the room with large jacuzzi outside our little private garden
- Try the grilled seafood platter with garlic fried rice.. so yummy!
- The bathroom is not practical for Family, the door is transparent, door sharing between the bathroom and toilet. It's only good for honeymoon couples!

This quite and private resort is a paradise found for those who are lucky enough to stay here.
I have just completed 7 days in a Garden Villa and found my stay to be peaceful and delivered the recharge that I required. The villa is in a Thai house style with all wood furniture, floors and fixtures, to a 5 star standard. The private outdoor shower and bath were a treat and added to the relaxed vibe, only the Garden Villa have these features but there are more conventional choices if required.
All facilities are 5 star, with the pool right on a private clean beach. A walk from the pool for a swim in the ocean is a matter of steps.
The staff at U Pattaya are friendly and courteous and reserved in the Thai style. They are attentive and no request is to big. I came to U Pattaya 3 years ago before COVID and it was so refreshing to come back and see some familiar faces in the staff. The staff care about, and care for, the hotel and those that stay in it. I can not praise them enough.
The food was excellent quality and varied in choice. Breakfasts are fantastic with all options available and gets you off to a fantastic start to your day.
This is a peaceful hotel/resort that is down the coast from the main part of Pattaya but is a short enough taxi ride if you desire what the nightlife of Pattaya has to offer. This could be be your refuge?
My partner and I have decided that we will be going back again, it just a matter of when? U Pattaya is a rare gem in a sea of big, soulless hotels.

A quiet boutique hotel hiding from all the chaos in Pattaya. I’ve been here several times and stayed in at least 3 room types; all have it’s own great characteristic. The beach here is unlike any other beach in Pattaya, it’s clean and quiet . My favourite part about U Pattaya is their 24 hrs stay policy where you can check-out the same time as your check-in time. And if you’re a late bird like me, you still get your free breakfast anytime of the day!! Great food & good service. Will be back again.

There’s a walk way from reception to your villa all one level and the restaurant is also next to the villas, important you don’t book the main building as it’s multi level with no lift but the villas are fine hope this helps the staff are very helpful and friendly and any problems which I doubt you’ll have but manager cherry with sort out anything for you hope this puts your mind at rest
