9 room heritage property run by a lovely young couple! Its a surprise package - you expect something that is off the grid to be basic. But here, the rooms are tastefully done - there is good heating and water is enough for the basic requirements. Worth mentioning is their kitchen - though the menu is limited the food is...

I don't know from where to start ! We went to Binsar on Christmas hoping to have a nice time. After reading the reviews we headed towards Grand Oak Manor! After reaching Simba cafe by Car we trekked up the trodden bumpy path towards Grand Oak . It was a 600m trek which took out all oxygen from our body!...

This place is significantly remarkable. Oak Manor is a well preserved Dak bungalow of colonial time & carries the charm of British Era. Manor is strategically located inside forest reserve area amidst beautiful landscapes. Staff is courteous & is always willing to serve. Food is decent if not awesome. If you want to experience Binsar to the core, Grand Oak...

Grand Oak Manor is absolutely wonderful - quiet, peaceful, with some stunning views. We went during autumn, and it was gorgeous. The hosts and staff are warm and effusive, the food is fabulous, and we had a wonderful holiday.

Grand Oak Manor, Binsar is the ideal destination for enjoying the tranquil life within a reserve forest and also enjoying the unperturbed view of mountain peaks of both Kumaon and Garhwal regions. It is a heritage property. The Manor was built in 1856 by General Sir Henry Ramsay, the then British Commissioner of Kumaon, who was also cousin to Lord...

If you love jungle, this is the place you need to be. The place is exquisitely sitting the at mid of a jungle with nothing else present there to disturb you. You can soak yourself in jungle and mountains and take a walk at the dense forest of Kumaon at your will. The service is great by the few folks...

Named after a grand oak tree (duh), this place will charm your pants off. 9 rooms, all well maintained, clean, neat and cosy. One side views the mountain range and the other the valley, this resort is for serious unwinding,...

I stayed in hotel with my family in second week of June, Although the property was bit overpriced, the same can be accommodated by the fact that place is really stupendous. Views from all rooms are good. You can watch beautiful sunset from back balcony of hotel. Small advise, people who loves nature dearly should visit. No phone signal &...

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. As you must have seen for yourself, we are in the middle of nowhere, surrounded only by a pristine forest. Our operations and transport costs are very high and hence food and other services are priced at a premium.
