The Sri Harul Guest House is a very nice place, in front of the ocean. The rooms have a beautifully balcony and they're very clean. The owner, Lingkhes, is a really nice & helpful guy. We decided to stay just two days, but when we saw the guest house we decided to stay two more days. It is just to... More

If you book a room at Sri Harul, it is definitely for the balcony and the view. Otherwise, the room is very basic. We had one sheet for two beds, one old towel and the bathroom was not clean. The rooftop restaurant is closed, there is no reception, no wifi. We had to call the owner at the café next... More

We were a little bit surprised as the previous reviews are good but when we arrived it felt like the owners and staff had given up on the place a bit with mattresses and chairs stacked in the hallways and damp bedding. The owner was really lovely and helpful and this guest house has so much potential but the restaurant... More

Our room had a balcony overlooking the fisherman's beach and must have been one of the best in town. The room was large, airy and reasonably clean, the staff were friendly and helpful. Although there was no AC, in February this was not necessary.Nice roof top cafe although this did not provide food Excellent value for money, highly recommended. However,... More

This was the first time I've been able to stay in this place for a few years as it has always been full - so if you want a room, especially sea facing, then I recommend booking ahead, and certainly during the busy December/January months. I had stayed at a few others before chancing on this and it is by... More

Fantastic location on the beach with great balconies so you can watch the fishermen working with their nets or the cows strolling by. The cafe above is good for a cheap bite and a beer, good restaurants along the beach too. The main shopping street is very close by, as is the shore temple. The Five Rathas and the Butterball... Simple rooms, with hot water, but the ones with sea views are great with wonderful views of the sea. We had a private balcony where we could sit and watch the cows, fishermen and goings on on the beach. Highly recommended. Will be returning for sure

Chennai is something to live, but mahabs is home. Sri Harul is a nice slice. The area is good and off tge main path. But a short walk to the main shopping area. If warm blooded, the ac room, or no sea view rooms as they are much cooler at night
