Although Rafferty's overall is a lovely resort, the pool facilities, tennis courts and beach were awesome but unfortunately the bad outweighed the good.
We paid a large amount of money for me and my 5 family members to stay in one of the cottages, the aircon made two of us sick, the saucepan they provided wasn't big enough for one person let alone a family, the property was overall dirty and run down, the dishwasher broke half way through our stay, the hot water lasted a whole thirty seconds the list goes on... but the most disappointing part was that when I told the staff all they offered was a "Thanks for letting us know"?!?!?!?. We gave them the opportunity half way through our stay to rectify these issued but they did not, and when I mentioned the issues again at the end of the stay that's all they said. My nan specifically asked when booking for a property without stairs and yet was given a room with more stairs than an average house. AND if you think all of this isn't enough I went home with gastro, also the Acia bowl sucks its sour, runny and apparently takes 20 minutes to make?

We were so excited to arrive at Raffertys resort for the night to catch up with friends. Unfortunately when arriving to our room it was not what we booked and I felt we got catch fished. For $415 for the night the room had bugs, skirting banged up. Everything was dated and it felt like a highway motel rather then a resort. I understand times are tough at the moment with COVID but more attention to detail, cleanliness and a paint job would make it more appealing however check in staff were lovely.
Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

We just came back from a 3 night stay in the 3 bedroom free standing cottage. The accomodation was run down, with cobwebs everywhere, broken screens, dilapidated couches and dust covering majority of surfaces. This was highly disappointing given how costly the room was. There is no phone or wifi in the room......that being said there is also no phone access to the reception staff, which is again strange in a resort. It almost felt like we were staying in a random persons house as there was no indication that it was part of the resort, no book or folder with information about the resort and area, no evacuation plan/map etc. The resort pool was lovely. The indoor pool was good too but also fairly run down and in need of an upgrade for the price.

I booked 3 nights here over the weekend just gone, costing me $695. As we pulled in it looked amazing and was very peaceful.
When we got into the ‘terrace’ I was instantly disappointed, the carpets were stained and in parts ripped, the sofas had a strange smell to them and there was cobwebs in most corners. Furthermore, the front door had a big gap so we had a constant cold draft. We did use the air conditioning on heat mode but it was extremely loud so it was not pleasant whilst trying to relax / sleep.
I was told they had only just reopened due to COVID-19 - so I would of expected it to have been at least cleaned / inspected. (My pictures show how dated and dirty the place was, not even a cushion on the sofas)
I went to the reception the next day to be told I would receive a call from Jessica to discus further. Jessica called me a few hours later saying she would send someone to clean ( I declined as we were far from the resort and didn’t feel comfortable having someone there with our personal things and laptops on display) there was no option to be moved.
After the second night it was just to much so we decided to drive back to Sydney. I went to reception and handed the keys back. Jessica was there and I explained again how unhappy and dirty it was. There was no apology and no suggestion of a refund for the night we didn’t stay. Overall, a very expensive, unpleasant experience.

The accommodation is in desperate need for renovation. The entire villa smelt gross. We had to open up the doors and windows to allow some fresh air in. There were dead insects on the floor and my husband had to swipe off hair particles off the bed.
The carpet was old and dirty and the beds were exceptionally uncomfortable.
I would expect this level of accomodation if I was paying $150-$200 but not for $313.
I would not recommend to anyone Raffety Resort accommodation.

We stayed in a terrace for 6 people. Our bedroom smelt of sewage and felt dump. My 5 year old daugher started wheezing when she slept in our bedroom. I'm 100% sure that I will not be staying at this resort again.

And oh they are very stingy with complimenatries, only two sad small milk cartoons(200 ml) in a very big and empty fridge while they're charging for 6 people for 2 nights (compulsory minimum stay).Same with coffee and tea

Where do I start? We stayed at this place for a special occasion. When booking I asked for a renovated room, (Treetops Terrace) after reading other reviews that said some rooms were renovated some not. I was assured I would get a renovated room...well if 506 was renovated I'd hate to see an un-renovated one!!
The place looked like it hadn't had a proper clean for YEARS. Both showers had USED soap in the soap holders! Proof that no one had cleaned the room before we were given it.
Everything from the AC ducts, curtains, carpet and cupboards were gross. We came home and found a cockroach in one of the bedrooms. The clock on the wall is obviously broken or needs new batteries as it never moved from 5pm the whole 3 days we were there.
Despite all the threats online about noise levels, we had people next door who partied on well past midnight....of course there's no one to complain to as the reception is closed.
We were allocated 2 parking spots, being four of us, but one spot couldn't be used as there were barriers all around it.
The only bedding was a thin old blanket topped with a sheet, and it was freezing! With the AC heat on it was like an oven upstairs and an icebox below.
Upon checking out on the Monday morning, I took the filthy makeup mirror to reception as evidence of the filth they charged us $400 per night for. You could tell my complaints fell on deaf ears as they'd heard it all before! Others on here have mentioned used soap in the bathrooms so they clearly know cleaners aren't doing a good job, or they're not cleaning AT ALL.
I'm giving the place 1 star.....that is purely for the location.

Although the grounds and outdoor facilities were great and well maintained the accommodation was appalling. Outdated, dirty, smelly, broken cupboard doors, verandah timber was rotten, kitchen exhaust fan full of grease, crockery stained, holes in walls, bathroom exhaust fan broken, and many other issues. Booked for 2 nights but could only handle 1. No parking at the villa. Had to park a distance away and then no external lighting. Led to a fall over the footpath and injury. Staff were helpful but owners of these villas need to spend some money on maintenance.

Stayed here last week as my daughter was competing at the State Surf lifesaving champs. What a wonderful resort! Many different houses, cottages and terraces to stay at. All are different as they must be individually owned. I had a few friends staying as well so had a look inside their accommodation and all were great. My one was number 59 a loft villa but so beautiful with all new furnishings. It was 3 levels with a rumpus downstairs with huge tv and beautiful lounge, up the stairs to main living another big tv, dining, huge kitchen, laundry, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms 1 with a queen the other with a queen and single bunk, then up to the loft with the hugest most comfortable king bed ever. On main level it has a balcony and another outdoor area which was fantastic. Can not fault this villa, it was simply the best. Toiletries provided were great quality too. This one was near the heated pool at top of resort. We spent most of our time around the big main pool which all the nipper kids loved. We have already booked for next year because we loved it so much! The whole resort was a nature wonderland with ducks, possums and other wildlife. Very peaceful and well maintained. The manager is a lovely lady and all the staff I saw were very happy and friendly.

The beds were by far the most uncomfortable I've stayed in. Our room furniture was very dated, I don't think anything had been changed for around 20+ years. The lounge was quite smelly, just the vibe that thousands of people had lounged on it.
We woke up every morning tired from a crap nights sleep and sore from the hard brick mattress. I'm actually really shocked that Raffertys don't have a policy where mattresses need to be changed frequently. If they do, then the owners of our room definitely purchased their mattresses 2nd hand. They were SO old. you could see the lumps and bumps through the sheets.

The kitchens have VERY limited things, we had 1 blunt knife, so couldn't cook, 2 small bowls so cereal was out. IT was just more frustrating than anything else.
Don't eat at the restaurant, its terrible quality for what you pay.

however it all depends on the room you get, 1 family in our party received a free upgrade and their room was lovely, all modern furniture, new beds, kitchen full.
but majority of the families in our party had the dated rooms with all the same complaints we had.

The only highlight are the pools, great for kids.

Don't stay here, it's not worth it.

Most apartments/villa have either garage or cars space available. Currently management seem to be repairing grass and garden areas which look nice but limits parking immediately outside what has been allocated - i.e. 1 car per villa. There is plenty of parking near the boat area or main car park in front of the reception building. So should not pose a big problem.
