We were hot and dusty on arrival at the property, and cold beers were on offer as a much appreciated complimentary aperitif. We walked to the town of Chenonceaux that evening with a restaurant recommendation, and the next day visited the chateau, of course. We arrived at our b&b wet and tired but were greeted with a smile and a hot drink in the communal visitors kitchen area. Annie and Alan spoke vitually no English but with charades and our school French we were able to communicate fine. Breakfast was at a large (ever growing) table in the house, displaying croissants, freshly baked baguette...

Excellent! Amazing place, very well located (a short walk to the Castle of Chenonceau). The owners are very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast they make is unique, with over 10 kinds of homemade jam (the owner, Annie, makes them herself) and a cake or something else special for the guests.
