I spent nine days in Langholm visiting family and friends. I stayed at Border House my entire visit and had a memorable stay. Moira was very friendly and made my entire visit very welcoming and comfortable. This B&B is ideally located for travel and local shopping. I would highly recommend a stay and a visit of Langholm, as I will...

You wouldn't expect a place right on the Main Street to be so cozy but it was! It doesn't hurt that there were fresh homemade "drop scones" ready on the tea tray in the room. Lots of space to spread out and relax and it's just a few doors down from the hotel where the pub is for dinner. You're...

We booked in at Border House online, taking in a concert at the Buccleuch Centre just a couple of minutes stroll up the road. We got a phone call the evening before, just to make sure we were happy with the bedroom configuration and choices on the vegetarian breakfast. On arrival in Langholm we missed the door as we were...

We stayed at Border House on our way home from Skye. The hosts were most welcoming, even though we had arrived quite late. They gave us good advice on where to get a meal. The room was clean, bright and pleasant and a nice home made scone and jam was a welcome surprise for two weary travellers. The breakfast was...

The car park was a little difficult to find, but a quick phone call brought Moira (the owner) out in the rain to guide us in. The room was great, located at the front, it over looked the main road, but it was ever so quiet over night. In the room we were presented with home made cup cakes, scones,...

I had a one night stay here when my new house wasn't ready. The room was immaculately clean. Fresh white bedding and towels. I enjoyed the scone and the fresh milk for my coffee that were left in my room. I slept well, and then enjoyed a tasty breakfast made by the lovely landlady. I will certainly be back. Well...

I stayed here a few weeks ago en route a sponsored walk from Manchester to Edinburgh and received great hospitality! The room was very nice with decent tea/coffee facilities, TV and bathroom (though the only fault I would say is that the shower was a bit weak but it got the job done). The room was very comfortable. Moira was...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry to hear that your shower was not very powerful. It is an ongoing problem that the properties on the high street have as Scottish Water have turned the pressure down because of constant burst pipes they were having to repair . The local hotels are still having...

My cousin, her daughter and I stayed two nights at the Border House B&B in Langholm Scotland, April 28th and 29th, 2016. The proprietors are Douglas and Moira Beattie. The B&B was centrally located and was easy to find. It was clean and the room spacious. Moira is an excellent cook and made fresh scones and muffins to go along...

The welcome, before we even got to the hotel could not have been warmer, and I was very surprised at the high standard of decor and facilities throughout. At this reasonable price this was unexpected. I had thought at least that there would not be an en suite bathroom! But best of all was the warm reception and the willingness...
