The food was great at the Merrymouth Inn but accommodation was very poor. Rooms were tired and in need of updating. We had a broken light fitting with exposed wires, no toilet roll holder, no extraction in the shower- hence damp ceiling, vanity light not working and cord broken and dirty windows. This was not an £80 per night room....

Comfortable rooms in the converted stables tucked away with own garden area. Excellent home cooked food - especially the varied vegetarian choices. Bill is as friendly and helpful as everybody says and Mo and all the staff make a stay here very relaxing.

We've just stayed for two nights here. This is one of those places that there is good and bad aspects. The owner and of the staff are great, very friendly and helpful and fun. The food, had breakfast twice and dinner on both nights, it is really good honest home cooked food. The Inn is really nice. The rooms however...

Lovely old fashioned pub/restaurant/b&b. Staff are friendly an unobtrusive. Rooms are clean an from ours a view of the back field with Mr horse right outside! Will definatley visit again bring my dogs next time as plenty of walks nearby they are welcome here. The food cant fault it and the breakfast is superb. Well worth a visit plenty of...

Stayed here for one night last night. It is run by Bill and Mo who are a great friendly couple. Our room was large and clean and just fitted with a new shower. Towels and toiletries provided. Very large comfy bed. Spare bedding in the wardrobe had it been needed. Tea and coffee facilities also in the room. Great view...

We stayed for 3 nights last week 3 couples in three rooms.From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, especially Phil.Even our dogs were looked after.Great food.Hope to visit again. Mike Bursnell

we were made to feel extremely welcome ,from the start,bill met us as we got out the car,very friendly guy,made us laugh straight away,great food and room was nice,will stay again soon.a perfict location as we both like to walk,cant fault the place or people.

Had a fantastic weekends stay at the Merrymouth Inn! Bill greeted all 6 of us like we were old friends and instantly had us laughing. The general areas are a little tired, but the beds are comfy, the linen fresh, bathrooms spotless & the food magnificent. Bill is wonderful. It's worth a visit just to enjoy his wonderful hospitality.
