The welcome was less than friendly. The room tries to be up market but fails miserably. One drawer had French baguette crumbs in it The over bed fan was filthy. So much dust it was hanging down. Some one had put the individual toiletries over the shower panel and they had not been cleared away. What else hadn't been cleaned?...

This is a good value hotel with clean comfortable but basic rooms. Plenty of tea and coffee plus biscuits. Bathroom is a bit tired and the grout could do with a clean, but plenty of shampoo and soap. We had a meal in the bar which was good quality pub grub. Breakfast was very good. Friendly and helpful staff

On a cycle from Eastbourne to Solihull I needed urgently a bed for the night and this was perfectly in the middle of the trip. The room was excellent. Clean, even has a fridge. The beer in the inn is cool and breakfast was very enjoyable.

Only planned a one night stay here. The pub and the accommodation block are two separate buildings. The accomm is a relatively new build. Good sized car park to front and rear. Our room was on ground floor at rear, no traffic noise, standard equipment tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, TV etc. Very clean bed linen and comfy twin...

I've been staying in the hotel since September, the rooms are quite spacious, with clean comfy beds. The pub next door has a relaxed atmosphere, with excellent food and reasonably priced. The staff a very friendly and polite, especially the lovely Sam. Winnersh is a fairly quiet village, but there is a train station within walking distance. Would recommend.

If you are looking for somewhere cheap, then this is ideal. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and were brilliant about our (very) late arrival/check in. Room was a bit shabby but clean, although I did find an old toe nail in my bed. Card entry system to the bedrooms was not working but this was eventually sorted for...

I stayed on business on Thursday, this is a welcoming pub with a hotel room complex next door. The pub is nice with a good restaurant and beer garden out the back. The staff are very good and the customers are friendly. The main jewel in the crown is the quality of the hotel rooms which are spacious, modern, very...

Fantastic rooms! Clean, comfortable beds and zero traffic noise. Very impressed. The pub to the side had a very nice atmosphere as well as great food. Also plenty of parking and only a minute walk from the local sainsburies if you have forgotten any essentials! Will be staying again here.

Thank you Mark. We really appreciate positive reviews and it is very encouraging for all the hard working members of staff. We have a new chef and a new bar/restaurant manager, so it's great that it is going so well. Regards Pippa

We stayed in room 6 ( the map room) and have no complaints whatsoever. We would definitely stay again. I'm not going to pretend it's a luxury hotel because it isn't, it's definitely more than "a room above a pub " which is what we were expecting. The staff were lovely and welcoming, especially the young girl whose name I...

Thank you so much Lynette for your encouraging review. It makes such a difference when Tripadvisor is used to for the positive and not the negative. I will pass on your response to the staff, as it is great to give them positive feedback. Best Regards Pippa (owner/partner)

Stayed one night, paying £95. Room was very basic and looked tired and in need of refurbishment although linen looked clean. There had been rubbish left in the room from a previous occupant both on bedside table and in shower. Kettle was very scaled up and had a 'tide-line' and sort was so scaled up with such low water pressure...
