We were lucky enough to have the whole Mango Lodge to ourselves for 3 nights in October 2016. The manager Sarjo and the chef Ibrahim were amazing. They catered to our needs and help organize a couple outings with a know driver and members of the lodge staff served as our guides. Quite and relaxing in a local neighborhood setting.

I spent a month at this fab property last winter, the staff are very friendly and do their utmost help. Decent food, lovely pool, safe and a convenient location for travelling, a 5 min walk to the main road (loads of taxis of all descriptions and the beach is just beyond). An interesting beach at that, Ghana Town is a...

I spent 3 nights in this pleasant little lodge. Sarjo, the manager, is helpful and friendly as are all the staff. Formerly "The Jungle" dance venue, it has been transformed into an interesting little lodge with one round house and (I think) 5 rooms in the main building some with ensuite and a couple with "All la Fresco" showers I...

Please refer to my other review. This place has changed so much but still kept all the things I loved about my first visit. Clean, warm and homely. They have managed to retained all the staff and theyre loyality plus their passion for the place shows just how good a holiday destination this lodge is. It brings together tourists and...

We stayed in the roundhouse for a week in January while volunteering in the village. This offered more privacy and luxury than the rooms in the lodge which were unremarkable. Roundhouse had attractive decor, hot water and adequate shower pressure. King size bed was comfortable and the night was quiet allowing for a good nights sleep. It was chilly at...

We like to offer a full range of room types to satisfy the range of visitors and budgets and tastes. Some guests enjoy the outside bathroom, some the inside bathrooms, and for the...

My wife and I stayed at Mango Lodge for 8 nights at the end of February. We stayed in the garden roundhouse which was beautiful and very private. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was delicious and well presented and cooked freshly everyday by the local chef. We really wanted to experience the Gambian culture and...

Five of us stayed at Mango Lodge and we all loved it. Where do you start - the staff were friendly, helpful and always around, the food was local, freshly cooked for us and excellent quality, the pool was fun and its surroundings very clean. The garden roundhouse provided a more luxurious option while the lodge suite with its authentic...

Thanks for your response. Im so glad you enjoyed your stay. I am aware the "authentic" shower in your bathroom is novel, being heated via the sun. we are looking to add a few more rooms this summer that will have internal bathrooms and hot water. We do understand that some people like the authentic bathrooms and others prefer the...
