We loved the experience of getting out of the smoggy city and staying in a small village with stunning scenery. We came from wearing masks in most cities on our trip due to high pollution levels and came here to clean air. The hike up here was long (a little over 1.5 miles uphill) If you come knowing what to...

Arrived for one night , view etc as mentioned spectacular. After staying one night at Yangshou Mountain Retreat in Guilin the rooms and experience do not compare. In Melody room, bed very high, only one wooden chair to sit on, temperamental toilet , stained carpets very creaky floors so noisy, can hear everything being said next door .View from room...

Li An Lodge markets itself to Western tourists who want a luxury experience in the middle of the stunning countryside. There is no question that the accommodation is superior to just about anything nearby. But the room rates are breathtakingly out of proportion. Everything is relative. Is it a Four Seasons? Absolutely not. For the price (we paid about $500...

Yes, as the other reviewers have mentioned, it is a long hike up to this Lodge. We flew into Guilin and then drove two and a half hours to the bus station. Our tour guide told us to pack whatever we needed for the night and then they stored our suitcases there at the bus station. We drove another 30...

There is a short walk (20mins) from the car park up to this hotel but it is really worth it. We had a front facing room on the second floor and I think that iconic rice terrace shot you see in guide books was taken from our window. The rooms are lovely. We ate in the first night (relatively expensive...

We stayed here during our private tour of China and the tour agency booked this hotel for the iconic Rice Terrace field experience. For me, this was the highlight of our 2.5week tour and I so wished to stay longer here. (1) Both of our rooms (Harmony, Harvest) were spotless, well-appointed with panoramic view of the rice terrace field. When...

The food, well, it is a set menu each night and each course was scrummy !!! Breakfast was good too. Wish we could have spent longer here !! A tip ..... When coming to the...

The lodge is nicely located.artfull decorated. However this is not enough !!! No hot water runing routinely only once in a while. We were looking for someone of the stuff at the evening no one was there - we found one only we have brought in our guide. It did felt like deserted site.

The location is amazing, but this hotel is also really pricey compared to other hotels around the area. We didn't feel that our rooms were worth the price -- they were nicely decorated, but very dusty (you could see a thick layer of dust on multiple pieces of furniture / inside the drawers). When we went, we were the only...
