We had four nights in a one bedroom apartment with our 11 month old baby. The apartment was super clean, looked out into the tropical canopy, and had everything we needed (kitchen, laundry etc). The pool was EXCELLENT, with a large shallow area perfect for toddlers. The bed had a memory foam mattress which wasn’t the best for us (but beds are so subjective it’s hard to please everyone!). Also the bedroom is open to the rest of the unit so we had to be quiet during baby nap time, but the balcony was perfect as an escape space. Much nicer residential area than busy Trinity Beach and Palm Cove. Great location and friendly managers, will definitely stay again!

We have recently spent six weeks at Golden Sands and we are already looking forward to our next stay. Mandy and Carl are simply great, so welcoming, the grounds are beautiful and the pool is lovely. We stayed at Golden Sands many years ago and decided to stay there again this trip and we are so very glad we did. Thank you both so much.

If you want a location to re charge this is the place. The location on the beach at Yorkies Knob, a brilliant Cafe on the grounds, a heated pool set in tropical gardens all add to the appeal. Our accommodation was really comfortable with a great kitchen and very comfortable bed. Carl and Mandy go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. We can't wait to come back next year.

Golden Sands was a fantastic, quiet resort - close to the airport and very easy access to the local beach and shops. The hosts, Mandy and Carl made us feel very welcome and comfortable thoughout. Our apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. On-site restuarant had a most relaxing atmosphere. The pool was warm and always clean. Already re-booked for next year!

We stayed at the beautiful Golden Sands Beachfront Resort on a work/business trip. Our room was spacious, clean, well equipped and very comfortable! Carl and Mandy (managers) could not have been more helpful, and they were very knowledgeable for tour bookings.The beach, gardens and pool are all spectacular, and the restaurant is well priced with delicious food. We couldn’t love Golden Sands enough, from the convenience of the beach, the sparkling pool, the clean rooms with everything you needed, the on-site restaurant and most of all the hosts! They were brilliant!!! Would definitely stay here again! Family friendly and just a relaxed atmosphere!

A great hotel tucked away with quick access to the beach. The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Carl and Mandy were really helpful hosts, providing local advice and spending their own time to track down and arrange a diving excursion to the barrier reef. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere to stay around the Cairns area.
