What a great location... But what a shame that no one has helped the staff realize how to make the most of their facilities. Someone could easily help them all realize how to clean the rooms and tidy up :-)... Our room was a disgrace when we arrived - but easy to remedy by bringing the staff in and pointing...

The location of the hotel was good, just opposite the Tibetan Horse Trekking Office and next to the Black Tent Cafe. The cafe has a really nice rooftop terrace which allows for a bit of sunshine and nice views. The rooms are ok, beds are rather hard which is normal in that part of the world.

Here's something you should know about Tibet: it's cold. I went in the summer and by nightfall, I was shivering in my puffer coat. From the previous reviews, I see many people evaluating this from a Western vantage point but that's simply not a fair assessment. Tibet is a third world country and their standards of living will not be...

This hotel has long corridors that echo. People were yelling up and down them at all hours of the night. Shower took about 20 mins to get hot, which is a ridiculous waste of water, but after horse riding for 2 days we needed a warm shower. Room is clean enough, just don't look under the bed.

Spend one night. Two room types: 4th floor with tiles making every sound echo. Running chineese kids, noisy staff. Avoid this area! 3 floor: better appearance: but shower cabin looked nice but (except handshower) nothing worked. In general not really clean. 70-s look & feel. Smelly. I'd not return in the hotel. Town surroundings are great. Maybe stop & go....

Location next to monastery is great. Town is fun, nature is great. Hotel is typical communist building style out of the 60ties. However owned and ran by the monks. Everything in the hotelseems to be from the 60ties too. Should be better places in town.

Typical Chinese "grand hotel" of a small place. Unfortunately, little effort for service: dirty toilets downstairs, shouting by personnel in the corridors at 6 am, our shower was not working at all. What a pity, because the location is good.

We arrived in Langmusi by motorcycle and this hotel looks the best in town with it's grand front and central location. The reception is impressive, but like most hotels we stayed in travelling through China the rooms were dirty and cold and there was little or no hot water available. The room was large and the staff friendly and helpful,...

The room was ok, there is only 1 blanket in the room which was very minimal given cold weather in Oct. There is heat in the room but it was still cold. The bathroom is not so good. There is not much hot water. We were charged 130RMB for one night but for another 30RMB you can get something much...

This hotel seemed convenient because it was right next to the bus stop, but that must be the only thing keeping it in business. For half of the price of this "hotel," you can stay at the Nomad hostel. We stayed in a 3-person private dorm room. The room was dirty and the beds, while comfortable, did not seem the...

“We were up on the 4th floor which was ok I guess. Just tough walking up to the 4th floor every time 3,000m above sea level. :-)”
