Dear Louis B, a shame the weather wasn't a little warmer and you could have relaxed in the pool! Warmer days are definitely on the way, although Barossa in Spring time is very beautiful. Thank you for your endorsement and we hope to see you again in the near future!

First review - wish it was better. we totally agree with the other negative reviews - very poor service and dining experience. We were looking for a wedding venue have family in Adelaide and we asked for someone to show us around only to be told the sales people krissy is"too busy" and make a meeting time? What ? We live in Brisbane so its not as if we were coming back anytime soon. then told to walk "that way" to see the wedding area. Must be doing well in this era...we thought hotels were struggling and needed money? on the way back to Adelaide we stopped by the nearby Kingsford Estate and they were only too happy to show us around so well done Novatel on losing a sale! The response to these reviews is also very poor - a one sentence comment? you can tell they are not genuine or caring for customers! we were telling our story to people at the pub in the local town and apparently the hotel does not have a good reputation wish we knew this before we booked. Never again. also wont be recommending the hotel for our family and friends to stay for our wedding would rather bus them to and from Adelaide than stay here. Also general cleaning wasn't great which is annoying with Covid still around. toilets in reception were dirty gross. Housekeeping pretty bad too bins overflowing outside rooms, general maintenance of building and lawns and car park pretty bad (soon to be hubby is a builder). then the final blow we get billed after we left for something we didnt even have. apparent 'finance' looking into this still waiting for a reply and follow up so thanks finance, again poor service but by now we are not surprised. so yes overall Very Poor. Look forward to the one sentence reply!

Dear XYZTravel2021, I am so sorry this was your experience. You are correct, during the COVID pandemic we are certainly missing our guests and have suffered as a result. I don;t know any business that could afford to not place our guests experience and requests at the top of the list. I honestly don't understand how we could have created so many pain points through poor service, cleanliness and food. From a regional perspective I am so glad the beautiful Kingsford Hotel were accommodating and I am sure you will be well looked after for your wedding. Please accept my apologies.

Had a good experience at the Novotel for a weekend. Nice room, good counter service and staff were helpful. We did a wine tastings on Friday and Saturday night, local wineries took us through the range of red, white and sparkling wines promoting their cellar doors. Dined on Saturday night, not a top end restaurant but not pub food, we did enjoy the experience. Resort is still a great place to base from but is starting to show its age, needs a good upgrade.

The newly renovated room was a joke! A paper ceiling cover around the light fitting ! The remaining upgrade was a joke. The incredible cost of the stay was beyond a joke. I had a steak at the hotel 1st evening so tough that I could not bite into it. Fortunately we found an Asian restaurant and a pub for the remainder of our stay in a nearby village.

We stayed 1 night at a cost of $249. The restaurant menu had no prices, when asked was told everything was $41except the Ossobuco which was $45. On top of this, if we wanted veges or anything else it was another $12 each, which makes the price of a meal very expensive. The room was a king room that didn't even have complementary water. The coffee was Nescafe in sachets. I would have though at least pod coffee given this is supposed to be high end accommodation site. The toilet ran all night, so much for maintenance. And only 1 tissue in the tissue box. So much for house keeping.
