Le Mas is a luxurious home away from home where guests can immerse themselves in the gastronomic offerings of the Barossa Valley. Le Mas invites you to discover the fierce landscape, rich soil and exquisite harvests that have inspired its occupants for decades. Built in 1857, the property has taken many forms including a farm, a working vineyard and most recently as a luxury accommodation and events space. Almost two decades ago, Le Mas was taken over by a French-Australian family seeking a property with a climate and soil similar to the wine regions of Southern France. Upon discovering the 160-year-old homestead planted with rare Grenache vines pre-dating 1935, they set about restoring the historic residence creating their dream home surrounded by manicured gardens and picturesque vineyards. Nestled between the Para River and vineyards on the valley floor, Le Mas is perfect for a weekend away or special occasion. Enjoy the personalised service of an on-call French host dedicated to creating a bespoke experience for you and your guests. Indulge yourself with French inspired home cooked meals in the opulent setting of the Orangerie. Each meal is lovingly prepared with a delicious combination of fresh produce grown on site or locally sourced. Le Mas offers guests the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the wine making process and taste authentic Australian wine from the private vineyard. Whether you are a party of 2 or a group of 8, Le Mas takes great pleasure in curating memorable and intimate experiences for guests looking for a luxurious homestead to call their own. Have your every need catered for by your personal host, who can arrange private wine tasting & tours, picnic hampers, E-Bike Hire and sumptuous home cooked meals prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients.

We just spent the most amazing two days at The stunning Le Mas in the Barossa Valley. From the moment the gates opened and we drove down the tree lined driveway past the vineyards I knew it was going to be wonderful. Being greeted by the owner Geraldine and her beautiful French mother Marie-France made it sopersonal and special. Our room was beautiful and the bed so comfortable. The Orangerie was such a lovely room to have a delicious home cooked French dinner and then a French breakfast overlooking the cockatoos on the lawn. We took out the Electric bikes and road for about 20 Kim’s on the bike tracks. We went to the wineries all close by and then back for a swim in the heated mineral pool. We love France and this was as close to France as we can get in the Barossa Valley!

We felt so comfortable being at Le Mas. From the phone call before our stay ensuring we had bookings and plans locked in, to arriving and being greeted in the most warm of welcomes, this getaway was very special for my husband and I. Our breakfast was divine! We had a delicious traditional French omelette daily with the most scrumptious pastries, jams and butter. We'd love to go back for this! The thought and attention to detail in every little corner of Le Mas made our stay (and we’re so many other guests) extremely relaxing. We really felt an emotional connection to the place and almost instantly right at home. The pool area is just wow! It's heated and a mineral pool which is so beautiful amongst the vines. The decor is so chic, and outside terrace area was perfect for catching up on some reading. Thank you to Geraldine and her family for checking in on us, giving us recommendations and being so hospitable. This place is a must to stay at and in a perfect location. We can’t wait to book again soon!

What an absolutely wonderful experience. Geraldine and Marie-France were just the most attentive and customer-focused hosts. Nothing was too much, the décor and rooms were perfectly designed and well worth the experience. I would recommend Le Mas for any couple wanting time away from the rat race and to live a weekend in a French-inspired Manor House. 5 stars just isn't enough.
