Le Mas is a luxury petite hotel where guests can immerse themselves in the gastronomic offerings of the Barossa Valley. Inspired by the South of France’s charming stone farmhouses (translation mas). With it’s original brickwork, arched windows and French doors, Le Mas reflects a contemporary Provençal style whilst respecting the property’s original 1857 Farmhouse heritage. Nestled between the Para River and vineyards on the valley floor, Le Mas is surrounded by acres of some of the oldest Grenache vines in the world and established ghost gums. As a guest of Le Mas, you can enjoy the personalised service of an on-call French host dedicated to creating a bespoke experience for you and your guests. Indulge yourself in the opulent setting of the petit hotel’s intimate dining room, The Orangerie, with its classic French foundations, where the menu changes seasonally to ensure each meal is prepared with the freshest ingredients harvested from the kitchen garden and only the best local suppliers. The wine list features an array of current release and museum wines from Le Mas, Barossa Valley wineries and France. Guests can also explore the local wineries via E-Bikes or simply stay on the property and indulge in the extensive cellar collection, unwind in the Napoleon Library or relax in the outdoor heated mineral pool. Our luxurious retreat of understated charm is perfect for a weekend away or special occasion. Whether you are a party of 2 or a group of 8, Le Mas takes great pleasure in curating memorable and experiences for guests who appreciate a connection to nature, creativeness, intimacy and the finer things in life

Had a 3 night stay at Le Mas Barossa Valley for our 30th Wedding Anniversary and wished we could have stayed longer.
The owners and staff made us feel so welcome, we felt like family. They made sure our every need was catered for and nothing was too much trouble. No detail is overlooked in the immaculate, french inspired rooms that at night, are dark, quiet and very comfortable. Set on acres of lush lawn and vineyards, looking down to the river complete with a swimming pool, there are many spots to sit and enjoy the peace and beauty of this property. We made use of the bicycles (pedal assist) and enjoyed a lovely ride through the vineyards.
If you're looking for a luxury getaway to feel totally spoilt whilst being in the heart of the beautiful Barossa, this is for you!

Le Mas

Having travelled Europe and previously stayed in some incredible accomodation, it is always hard to compare our choices of accomodation here in Australia - especially with such beautiful landscapes and wine regions. However, having been strongly recommended by friends as ‘the closest thing to staying in a French vineyard with world class service’ we booked Le Mas.

From the moment we arrived and took our bags from the car having previously been in Adelaide, quite wound up, Geraldine the host instantly brought our energy down to ultimate relaxation. We simply felt like royalty being ushered into the sunlit terrace with champagne and cheese… honestly the best French playlist of chillout tunes playing we have ever heard (we have downloaded their playlist from Spotify).

We enjoyed great days out touring the best vineyards of our choice but our favourite time was to bring back amazing wines in the late afternoon and sit on the deck with the incredible cheese plates and service from Geraldine !

The most important thing not to miss is dinner at Le Mas! Transported to France we had the most incredible dinner, enjoying only the best wine and designed by the family, honestly if you love cosy French luxury; this IS IT. Meeting the matriarch of the house and head chef will take you to France in 30 seconds - an experience you’ll need to discover yourself.

The rooms are simply beautiful, if you appreciate luxury fittings and fixtures then this is will certainly not disappoint. In our room we woke up to the most exquisite view of the vineyards and a beautiful little cottage that truly looked like we could be anywhere in French countryside. I would definitely book a room with a freestanding bath (get in early) as we spent lots of time relaxing and drinking wine here while staring at the vineyards out the window! Simply amazing.

It’s hard to not speak of the electric bikes, heated pool, birds landing on the lawn to be fed at sunset and the best smelling candles we have ever experienced! However, Le Mas is much more than that.

Simply put…. If this isn’t on your Australian luxury adventure list than you are missing out on something beyond incredible. BOOK NOW.

Le Mas in the Barossa is nestled between expansive grapevines and gardens away from the main road, so you feel as though you are in a lovely quiet and private oasis, a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The boutique stay is world-class, boasting luxury accommodation with no expense spared on the interiors and facilities. The hosts, Marie-France and Geraldine, are exceptional in welcoming you and their attention to detail is second to none, as with all of the staff. The grounds are immaculate and beautifully curated to ensure the stay is unique and memorable. The stay includes the use of the mineral pool and electric bikes, and also provided is a very generous authentic French breakfast. There are options for a traditional French dinner in the gorgeous Orangerie or on the terrace overlooking the gardens. Or, if you want something lighter, cheese and meat platters are also available. The property is fully licenced. We were lucky to have all of the offerings available and must say that the food was amazing. My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary celebration at Le Mas, one that we will certainly never forget.

Le Mas Barossa is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed in. The stunning, spacious and luxurious rooms are tastefully designed and immaculately presented. Our room had a beautiful spacious ensuite bathroom with underfloor heating and divine Hermes accessories. The level of customer service was of an exceptionally high standard. Staff were warm, friendly, professional and went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after. With French doors surrounding the open plan lounge/dining area, exquisite outdoor terrace, romantic courtyard with adorable french chairs and table settings, and beautifully manicured french gardens, one would think they were in the south of France. The location is perfect, no need to look anywhere else, you are right next to the superb wineries and restaurants and in the very heart beat of the Barossa Valley and if you just want to relax and enjoy the premises you won’t be disappointed, the food is divine, with a great selection of wines to choose from and the breakfast will take you straight to Paris. There is also a gorgeous heated swimming pool and gardens to enjoy, not to mention the e-bikes provided if you fancy exploring the nearby wineries on a bike. I highly recommend Le Mas and cannot wait to visit again!

After seeing the reviews for Le Mas online it was hard to not give it a go. We were not disappointed. This place is amazing. You would think you were in The South of France. The rooms are exquisite and the property is breathtaking. Martine, Geraldine and Marie-France make your trip even more special. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the ladies. The complementary E-Bikes are a real winner and perfect for a ride into town or a tour to wineries in the local area. Marie-France made our breakfast each day of fresh croissants, banquettes, fruit, yoghurt, muesli, omelettes and she even made us crepes on the last morning. Her homemade rose petal jam is a real winner. Platters are available all day upon request and are perfect with a glass of their house rose for lunch on the deck. We would have been happy staying in all day and enjoying the surrounds and hospitality. Looking forward to our next stay already.

From the moment we walked in, we were greated like family - above and beyond hospitality perfectly balanced with discretion and privacy. We felt felt no pressure or timeline in regards to the complementary charcuterie board (accommodation package) and the ample morning breakfast.

The renovations and restoration of the property are second to none with truely French inspired attention to detail. The sunny balcony to the shady gum tree grotto at the rear of the property were a perfect way to relax and unwind with a glass of house produced vino.

The rooms were beyond comfortable - the bed deluxe and devine, the bathroom luxurious and grand.

We cannot wait to go back and adventure out on the complimentary electric bicycles for another gander through the multiple Barossa vineyards (several only a short pedal away).

Thank you again for having us. Your hospitality has established a new norm for us.

We just spent the most amazing two days at The stunning Le Mas in the Barossa Valley. From the moment the gates opened and we drove down the tree lined driveway past the vineyards I knew it was going to be wonderful. Being greeted by the owner Geraldine and her beautiful French mother Marie-France made it sopersonal and special. Our room was beautiful and the bed so comfortable. The Orangerie was such a lovely room to have a delicious home cooked French dinner and then a French breakfast overlooking the cockatoos on the lawn. We took out the Electric bikes and road for about 20 Kim’s on the bike tracks. We went to the wineries all close by and then back for a swim in the heated mineral pool. We love France and this was as close to France as we can get in the Barossa Valley!

My husband and I had a very relaxed, enjoyable stay at Le Mas over the last week end.
Geraldine , Martine and Marie France were wonderful hosts . They made us feel very welcome and went way beyond their call of duty to make us comfortable and feel at home.
Le Mas is a beautiful property, a true French farmhouse in every sense of the word, renovated and decorated to the highest standards, set amongst beautifully manicured gardens and vineyards. . The accommodation was luxurious and Marie France’s authentic French dishes were delicious. The food and the ambiance of the place made us feel that we were in France.
We felt totally relaxed and quite at home while being spoilt by Martine and Marie France during our stay. We would certainly visit again and would recommend Le Mas to travellers wishing to spend sometime in the Barossa Valley or to those who wish to just have a special week end away in the beautiful Barossa enjoying everything Le Mas has to offer.

It was lovely to meet up with you on Sunday along with your family, Geraldine, Thank you so much to you, Martine and Marie France for making our week end very special.
A la prochaine

Stayed here for Valentine’s and it was magical.
The location is perfect and so close to so many great wineries and restaurants.
From the beginning, everything was made so easy for us.
Geraldine organised a personalised check in time and even booked us dinner at one of her favourite restaurants.
The rooms are filled with such warmth and luxurious stately charm. The bathroom was so spacious and the bathtub was such a great way to relax.
Our room was bathed with light and the views of the vineyards and flower garden was beautiful.
We had breakfast on the porch and were brought fresh produce and baked delights by our amazing hosts, could not have asked for more.
The attention to detail in every aspect of the property does not go unnoticed, literally felt like we were in France!
