Atleast once you should visit this place in India. Luxurious huts in a village created with all modern amneties. A pond with ducks is fun to watch at. Spacious rooms varying with different interiors. Veranda provided outside each Hut is fun to sit with. Some has bathrooms open to air. All day you can spend climbing up and down the...

While I am sure that the accommodation is lovely, we only went there to view the dunes and have tea. The dunes are fake; the sand has been put there and raked. Having previously stayed elsewhere in real desert, I found this very disappointing indeed

At the fag-end of a weeklong roadtrip that saw us cover almost 1500 kms, the Khimsar Dunes were just the balm to put our feet up and soak it all in. It really is a mini-desert. The 'huts' are quite palatial and the open bathrooms are delightful. There's a little 'oasis' in the middle of it all. We walked up...

The first look of the sand dunes is so beautiful, they dont strech that far, its a small piece of sandy land, which is not totally arid, but the beautifully carved dunes, topped with the lovely oasis and its ducks , set amidst the rustic serenity, it all totally worth it, this is the kind of place where you could...

What can I say about this but well worth the trip. This little oasis in the dessert is very beautifully done. The rooms are nothing short of 5 Star quality. The service excellent and the food very good. The journey from Jodhpur to Khimsar Fort takes under 2 hours by road. once at the Fort Hotel which itself is grand...

The actual THAR desert is near Jaisalmer and they have managed to create one here artificially. The pond and the rooms are all done by modern tech and is great. It is open only during season - Oct - Mar. This is better than the Khimsar fort hotel. They have even managed to fence the dunes to maintain the privacy.
