We selected this hotel to keep the travel distances on the Carretera Austral short, allowing leisure travel and some activities during the day. Collection of split level bungalows, each > 25 m2 with bathroom > 4 m2. In the lower part is a sitting area with a single bed and a good view over the lawns and trees. On the... More

The lodge and cabins were thoughtfully designed and are well-maintained. They have quite a bit of property, including a pier over the lake, a swimming pool, and a hot tub, and walking around the well-maintained grounds is interesting and relaxing. Stayed in one half of a duplex cabin. Spacious with comfortable bed and sitting area. Food was good and staff... More

We stayed two nights in this lodge. The accommodation was delightful. Lovely big split level room with views to the lake. The food however was disappointing, bland and expensive for what you got. We also asked if we could take our own wine into dinner and when we came to pay for our stay they charged what we thought was... More

Inbetween Puyuhuapi and La Junta we stayed in El Pangue in a cabin near Risopatron Lake in a beautiful setting. It was quite far from the town Puyuhuapi which we passed through on our way to the lodge so we decided to use our extra day here as a day off. We did not regret this decision although it meant... We stayed only one night and that is too short for such a nice place where you can relax, walk on the 'sendero' starting in the park (for 3 hours), kayak, and fish. When arriving we went for a swim in the heated pool, very relaxing, we switched with the hot water tub. The water of the tub was too... More

We arrived early evening for a one night stopover pre-season, after 70k of roadworks on the Carretera Austral. So neither we nor El Pangue were at our best. The cabin was superb; very comfortable and with great views. The staff in general were friendly. But the evening meal was a disappointing selection of food from the freezer, some of which... More

We spend two nights in a nice hut in the hotel parc area with big pangue plants near the lake. The restaurant offered a good dinner in the evening. The staff was very helpful.

I had the best meal of our 5 weeks in Chile here -- if there are enough guests who want the BBQ then you're in luck. Do firmly commit -- another couple who said they might show up didn't, but a BBQ was prepared for them anyhow because they'd be mad if they showed up and there wasn't enough food.... More

We had planned to stay at El Pangue just before Christmas for 3 days while traveling north on the Carreterra Austral. We changed our mind immediately upon arriving. We arrived (3 adults and a child) and felt immediately that it was too quiet for us and too limited to fishing. The prices implied a somewhat different establishment. We returned to... More
