with no doubt the most beautiful and personal place to stay on Kooh Kood/Ko Kut. Lovely room, location, good food, great staff. It is a little isolated from the Southern beaches, but you can rent a scooter or hire a taxi to get around.

It's difficult to come up with the words to do Bann Makok justice. We were looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to end our Thai holiday, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The restaurant on site is wonderful and has decent prices. If we return to Koh Kood we'll definitely book at Bann Makok.

We spent 4 nights here for our honey moon. The hotel is one of the most gorgeous places I have ever been to: the fishing village style huts, the design of the rooms and the common area, the restaurant, the mangroves, the beach... this place has got IT ALL. We had no problems with mosquitos or sand fleas, the food...

It is a calm arty place. Each of the 8 rooms are different overlooking the river. You need to take a kayak or to swim in the river to go to the nearest beach. The staff is great, the décoration is so nice. No tv, no A/C in some of the rooms, a good book, a good talk with friends,...

Bann Makok is one of those places whose knowledge one would prefer to keep for oneself alone. Beautiful and quiet are the first adjectives that come to mind, with an out-of-the-world feeling: it stands by itself on the river, between water and jungle, far away from roads, cars, tourist crowd. Silent and peaceful, with only eight lovely rooms (spacious, comfortable...

We had a great and very relaxing time in this wonderfully decorated and styled, yet very authentic location and can only recommend it to everybody who looks for a quiet and relaxing vacation place! Only real young kids might be a reason to better choose alternative places.

I stayed at Bann Makok with my two teenage children for 12 days. It is hardly a luxurious guest house but a small homely and laidback hideaway with a distinct character and spirit. There is a comfortable lounge and a good restaurant. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. Rooms are pretty basic but are clean and have everything you...

Bann Makok really is possibly the coolest place I've ever stayed at, and the highlight of my honeymoon. My hubby and I were looking for something unique and this place is just so memorable. It's an place to chill out while still having easy access to everything that Koh Kood has to offer. Some of the highlights: - The hotel...

Just what we like. Away from the crowds. Totally free to organize our days as if we were at home. Comfortable rooms with taste and style. Discreet but helpful staff. Serene surroundings. A perfect mix for quiet couples.
