Kasauli exotica is nicely placed and has an excellent rooftop restaurant. However, there are a few improvements urgently needed.

I was a guest there sometime back. I didn't find any room where guests would not have to climb stairs. However, they do have a golf cart service for their 'ground floor' rooms which are next to their reception (but you will have to ask for this service). Also, I travelled with my parents (who are also senior citizen) but they didn't find the stairs too steep to climb.
If your guests are suffering from acute pain, I would advise to consider some other location as well.
