We spent 3 absolutly interesting, entertaining, educating days at Woodbury Lodge. Our ranger was very knowledgeable, thus we learned a lot. On the games he surprised us not only with "dangerous" animals but also with locations with stunning views while drinking a glas of wine. Back at the lodge we enjoyed delicious food. All in all fantastic!

We had an unforgettable time during our stay. The rangers were excellent and we got to see all the animals up close but not too close to disturb them. The food was great and we were well looked after. Any minor issues were resolved very quickly ie fitting in a last morning safari before being picked up to go to... More

This was our first time in a private game reserve and we were not disappointed! There was lots of animals to be found and seen and they even did us a mini game drive for our little one. Food was very good and they also catered for our little one so whatever we requested they made. Nothing was too much... More

We had a wonderful time at Woodbury Lodge. Fabulous place with great people - you really feel like part of the family even if you're only staying a short while (three nights, in our case). Jason was a really knowledgeable guide, and looked after us really well on the six outings we had, getting us up close to many of... More

This was our first safari and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Mal, our guide, was fantastic and found all the animals. We were not rushed and had plenty of time for photos and questions. Mal was excellent at locating the animals well before we were aware of them. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was spotless and had... More

Our 3rd visit to Amakhala Game Reserve and our 1st to Woodbury Lodge. Each trip has been an unique experience but we are always blown away by the amazing properties, service, food and especially the knowledge of the professional guides - the lot! We will definitely be back in the near future.

My husband and I stayed at Woodbury lodge for 4 nights at the end of September 2016. From the minute we arrived the staff were most welcoming & hospitable. We stayed in the Giraffe lodge which was extremely spacious & had its own private deck. Whilst we were there we went out of eight trips round the reserve. Both of... More
