This is really more a B&B than a hotel, but I guess the owners are making improvements bit by bit to make it more upmarket. The room was OK, but the bathroom I had was cold. The room was quiet and the bed comfy. There's a fine selection of beers and whiskies in the bar, although they weren't best kept....

We actually have a "Peace and Quiet" policy, hence the lack of televisions - which, many of our guests enjoy and come here because of it. This area is mainly geared to walkers and climbers and people here for the landscape who want peace and quiet. So we make no apology for this. I am glad you enjoyed your meal...

The hotel is pretty basic, but quite pleasant. The lounge is comfy and welcoming. Food is served in the bar, which has a very wide range of whiskies. Breakfast was nice. Dogs are allowed which must be a big plus point for dog owners. There is no TV in the bedrooms, which is very unusual these days, but not an...

We had a really nice dinner at the hotel restaurant but what was interesting to me was the whisky tasting menu. Actually I don't drink whisky (I have the palette of maybe a 12 year old) but my husband enjoys and appreciates fine whisky. He brought the large menu over so that we both look at it. There are 75...

As you can imagine, Andrew REALLY enjoyed compiling our whisky menu - and likes nothing better than chatting about real ales and whisky to our customers who appreciate the finer things in life. Thank you for taking the time to post such a lovely review and for your wonderful comments. Do come back soon for your husband to try some...

I was impressed at the quality of food and beer at this small pub...sure we just hiked for three days, however we had a really nice dinner and evening here. The steak was particularly excellent - I definitely would recommend.

We hope you have recovered after your three day hike - there is certainly some amazing walking around Kinlochewe area. Thank you for your delightful review and for your recommendation to others. We are delighted you enjoyed your meals - and the steaks are certainly pretty special: all local meat "grown" in our wonderful lush countryside. Sometimes we do have...

Although the choice of food was limited, it was very tasty. The Hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere so we were pleased to find somewhere to eat. Friendly staff. I did ask for a peppercorn sauce which they couldn't do as everything was set into portions!!!!

We stopped by the Kinlochewe Hotel around Christmas time. The place looked nice, and there was a good selection of beer. Unfortunalty we made the mistake of brining in a baby. Apparently due to "licensing reasons" they are unable to allow babies on the premises. It seems that they need to provide unisex changing areas. So we had to leave.

Ordinary pub decor with hard wooden seats. I sat at the table and after some time had to approach a waitress for a menu. I ordered the lamb casserole, which was ok, however I was convinced that the mashed potato was from a packet. The red cabbage contained cinnamon to which I am allergic. This was not disclosed on the...

I can assure you that the mashed potato is certainly NOT from a packet ! - you can ask our kitchen staff who spend ages peeling, cooking and mashing the potatoes. You have some rather unusual allergies so perhaps it would have made sense for you to ask the waiting staff about the ingredients list. As we make everything on...

We did not stay here, butr enjoyed one of our best meals during our 2 week trip to the region. We arrived early and hungry, then, because it took about 15 mins longer that expected to take our order, we were offered free drinks. Nice! Service was generally very good so no complaints there. The steak was one of the...

This is a lovely Hotel with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. A very good selection of Beer on Tap and a fantastic gantry of Whisky. Here comes the down side 25ml measure for 35ml prices. A very good menu if you are a small eater with deep pockets this is not a cheap place to dine and wine. Unfortunately...

Sadly we did not enjoy our visits here. The bar is essentially a dining room, with all the tables reserved, there was nowhere to sit. The night we chose to eat was better, as we had a table, but felt the food did not live up to the appealing descriptions on the menu. Pleasant young staff made the evening acceptable.
