The room was very basic ,almost back packer standard. When i commented next day was told that if i had wanted a better room i should have asked and paid extra. We only stayed the night as we were driving the forgotten highway next day.

I must apologise for what appears to be a very terse response from one of our Front of House staff. I have highlighted your review for discussion and training at our next meeting (in a few days). We don't pretend to be 5 star facility but pride ourselves on friendly, down-to-earth service, comfortable modern bedding and being spotlessly clean. Some...

Decided to book this motel as it was so convenient for joining the Forgotten World rail tours. We were welcomed very warmly and even though we'd arrived well before check in time were cheerfully ushered to our bright and sparklingly clean unit. Fresh white linen with red accents, and white walls, towels etc. made a great impression. The unit was...

We stayed as two couples before doing the Rail Trail. Very nice double bedroom suite, clean, fresh crisp linen, plenty of towels provided. Good kitchen facilities. Can be a little noisy with road traffic and as always, there are people leaving in the early hours. Front office staff very pleasant. Free wi fi which is appreciated but can be unreliable...

Fortunately the bedding and towels were clean BUT dust and dead flies in the bathroom particularly and a dirty bath mat coupled with mistakes at reception put me off. I was asked for $10 more than the price I'd been quoted, my breakfast order had not been passed on (but I got cheerful service of a mediocre breakfast when I...

We are sorry your experience with us was not up to your expectations Supergranbee. Your honest feedback is appreciated. Thanks again for letting us know.

My room had a double and a single bed, with fridge, toaster, jug and coffee plunger. The bathroom had all I wanted. The staff were great and let me have a late checkout as my bus was not until the afternoon. You can get breakfast here, but the town has quite a few good choices for breakfast at good prices,...

Stayed here one night for work. The lady at reception was lovely and welcoming. My room was beautiful with fresh white linen and a good size. Quite like the view out the window of trees. Good kitchenette. (Fridge, cooktop, and microwave). Excellent workspace for a laptop. Faultless wiifii. I got a cooked breakfast delivered to my room. I loved the...

The motel is ideally located in close proximity to the town centre of Taumaranui and thus is a very easy, level walk of just a few minutes to shops, restaurants etc. This motel is also the assembly point for tours run by Forgotten World Adventures and thus is a very convenient place to stay if you are participating in any...

Very friendly staff, very generous with advice, clean, nice artwork but a little noisy, close to train lines(active). As such my wife was not impressed due to noisy night, but I was very happy overall. This little town had a supermarket, cafes, restaurants and Maccas. All easy walk distance from hotel. They also have a Moa statue in the Main...

We were booked to do the Railcarts and since they were to leave from this motel we decided to book our night there for convenience. Best thing we did! Didn't look that appealing from the road but was great. Possibly the cleanest motel we've ever stayed at. Had everything we needed, lovely decor, bedding etc. Very comfortable bed. Staff were...
