No review or web site can do full justice to exceptional standards at this Guest House. The standard of cleanliness and attention to detail are second to none and we have travelled extensively in South Africa. Gloria and Peter are excellent hosts and you quickly know you have arrived somewhere special. To add to all the superlatives you have the... More

My wife and I decided on Wild Olive as a last minute thing; we'd stayed in Pringle Bay a couple of times before at another guest house but decided on a change. The outside is nothing special. On entering the door onto the courtyard you're taken into a quiet and pleasant retreat. We were welcomed by Gloria and shown our... More

We visit South Africa almost every year and try to make Wild Olive our last stop. We love the rooms, which are spotless and well fitted. We love the hosts, Gloria and Peter, who couldn't be more charming and helpful. We love the fact that you can enjoy Michelin quality dinners (no exaggeration !!) in the evening without having to... What a treat! We couldn't believe it when we arrived at the Wild Olive. We were expecting it to be good, as it had been recommended by friends who had been a couple of years earlier, but it surpassed everything we imagined it could be. Peter (the in house chef) and Gloria were the most welcoming couple you could hope... More

We have stayed with Peter & Gloria for many years, and our annual holiday to South Africa would not be complete if we did not spend at least 4 nights with them. Gloria is the perfect hostess, and nothing is too much trouble for them to sort out, Peter's breakfasts are simply superb, any request is always provided, and the... More

Peter and Gloria run what must be one of the best gust houses in South Africa! Our 2 nights were perfect - we can't fault the rooms, food or hospitality. peter's cooking is amazing and is totally complimented by Gloria's "front of house". It is like having your own top chef cook for your private dinner party. What a wonderful... More

We booked for 2 nights in February 2012 and wished we had booked for more. The other two couples staying at the same were repeat guests over many years. I think that is a testament to the level of personal hospitality Peter and Gloria afford to their guests. We were made very welcome and enjoyed wonderful sunsets with stunning views... More

Being served by an experienced chef, Peter, and hosted by his very attentionated wife Gloria was a real privilege. The room, with a private patio and an outside shower was decorated with taste and absolutely spotless. The dining room upstairs, next to the open plan kitchen where Peter makes miracles opens on a roof terrace where the sunset offers beautiful... More
