Very disappointed when trying to buy a voucher for The Horizans restaurant to be told it’s either £25 or £40. You would think in this day and age they would be wanting your business. Girl on the reception was very unhelpful so we took our business else where. Really disappointed as go to the restaurant on a regular basis. Staff in restaurant are lovely.

My partner and I booked this "mini mini" break as we both needed a much deserved chill out. I was a bit shocked at all the caravans and thoughy it woulf be noisy...but had absolutely no need to worry. We upgraded prior to arriving to an executive suite with balcony and omg the view was amazing, and the mezzanine bedroom waking up in bed with a view of the beach was fabulous. We ate both nights in the restaurant and have absolutely no complaints with either the food or the staff. Food was amazing and cooked to perfection and the staff were so pleasant and helpful. Amazing value for what you got. To our delight the hotel was quiet which is exactly what we'd hoped for. The only hiccup was with the WiFi as couldnt connect or stay connected. Bed was super comfy and room was very clean. Our only disappointment was we only booked a two night stay and wish it had been longer. We would definitely come back here again

We were really disappointed with our room and the hotel, it was clean enough but hall was really dated with carpet half way up the wall, nice local art work on the walls but really dated decor and low ceilings. Our room was very small it was one of the premier deluxe rooms it really wasn't deluxe. Very tight, the toilet seat was brocken, few hairs in the shower not ours we had only just arrived, 2 seats were in the room too big for the size of the room the one at the desk was too big to push in so you were struggling to get by, the bedside tables are tiny big enough for the oversized lamp but not big enough to put your cup of tea in the morning. Staff are all lovely really great the restaurant is fantastic food is lovely and so are the staff. We enjoyed our time in the restaurant/bar but was not the most comfortable of rooms and no view of anything. Would stay in a caravan if went back.

Quite a nice Hotel and Nice Staff even if they are rushed off their feet. I booked this hotel as I love beach walks and views, its advertised as "On The Beach",pics look beachside too. This is not on the beach! There is a main Rd to cross(No crossings)Then a Railway line down a steep hill. Its a fifteen minute walk to access the beach but its not for people with walking difficulties at all!All in all a nice Hotel that unless you drive was very boring during Covid.DO NOT BOOK FOR THE BEACH!!!

The rooms are fantastic (family executive suite) and the views perfect. The reception staff lovely. The breakfast, full and hearty. However it cant at all be overlooked that the corridor had an overpowering dreadful damp smell. Attempts to mask this by double plug in airfreshners made things worse. So bad that walking through the corridor was difficult. Sorry, no exaggeration. Secondly the balcony on our suite has zero privacy from the next and unless sitting in silence you cant have a private conversation at all. Also, the metal tables are covered in rust. The soundproofing is poor within the rooms also. Lastly the breakfast was a 0915hrs slot. Seated for that time and breakfast took 45mins to arrive with others served before us. Lovely big breakfast though and nice restaurant. Real shame as the views are great and the rooms lovely.
