I went to dive, but found that the snorkelling (especially at Sipadan - on my no-dive day) might have actually been better than the diving!! So, a great resort for non-divers too!! The arrangements all worked extremely smoothly. Land and see transfers by Sipadan Mabul Resort (SMART) were excellent. Easy and efficient. The food was really good, with a good...

Went here to relax and that's what I did. The staff is helpful and the diving is beautiful. The diving was gorgeous and the marine life is abundant. The dive masters are nice and they'll show you the small fish. The land resort accommodation is good, they have buggies to drive you to where you need to be.

Diving in Malaysia for 1 week with Sipadan mabul Resort is one of the excellent experienced. We travelled with our good friends because we are all experienced divers such as instructors, dive master and rescue. We saw a lot of underwater species. The bungalows are nice with the nice view. The food is good.

Location: From Tawau you take a 45 minute drive to the port, a 40 minute speed boat to the island of Mabul. The island itself is tiny and I am not even sure it has roads and cars. It is about 20 minutes by boat from Sipidan Island. Rooms: We stayed on the land side due to money. If money...

I spent 6 days on Mabul Island and did a lot of diving in Sipadan and surrounding Mabul as well as Kapalai. Diving here is worldclass, besides Sipadan (that is known for its beauty anyway) there is so much macro just around Mabul and you can do as many house reef dives as you want. The guides and instructors are...

I have been to SMART twice. Sipadan dive should not be missed, you will see a lot of marine life from green sea turtles, barracudas, white tip sharks and manta and whale shark if you are lucky. The rooms were nice and clean although there are mosquitoes. The dive masters were very good at spotting creatures. It is a very...

We spent 9 nights there and went diving every day. We went for the diving and were not disappointed. The area is well worth its reputation. Diving was well organised and the dive masters were terrific as were the boat crews. The hotel is a little basic but charming for all that. We were there for the diving so were...

We had a wonderful stay at Sipadan Mabul Resort. The staff is friendly and eager to help. The chalets are very nice, spotless clean and spacious. The diving around Mabul is top notch and we saw rare critters such as pigmy sea horses, flamboyant cuttle fish and orang utan crabs. The night dive at the house reef was a highlight....

Please read the complete review! Despite of all good expectations, the 6 day stay at this hotel ended horribly for us. On the last night (7.30PM) we discovered that money was stolen from the locked hotel safe, just as two other couples had discovered, who were also leaving the next morning at 6.15 AM. (this information is written on the...
