Osman is quite a character: he talks almost too much and has no filters, however, he´s a really good man, interesting and reeeeally motivated. His family is very nice. His wife, who deals with the reservations by telephone and whatsapp, is also a really good cook. Osman has his own boat and will take you to see animals in the... More

I stayed with Osman from the 21st - 23rd of November. Osman is an incredible guide; he has worked with David Attenborough, and his relentless approach meant that were the only tourists to see pygmy elephants that day. His whole family were really hospitable, serving us enormous quantities of lovely food, and Osman went out of his way to help... More

If you want to see elephants, this is the place. Of course it is not 100% sure, but Osman has contacts who tells him about their position, so the chances are higher here than other resorts, and we got to be very close to them, which was amazing!! . We also saw an orangutan and several monkeys and hornbills. Osman... More

I can't comment on Osman's ability as a guide for the kinabantangan as unfortunately we didn't get that far. We had booked to stay for two nights, in particular because of the reviews and David Attenborough links. Our booking was done by text message and we were told to contact Osman once we were in Sandakan. I knew his house... More

Amazing couple of days with Osman and his family. His wife, Yante is a great cook and keeps the house very clean. Osman went out of his way to ensure that we had a great stay. Couldn't recommend highly enough. We saw so much wide life on the boat trips and Osman was very knowledgeable. His humour and personality really... More

This is a must do in Borneo if you want to see wildlife in the natural environment. We stayed for two nights. We communicated with Yanti by text to organise the visit. I understand that Yanti has email so my advice is to text her first and ask for her email for more fulsome communication. Take drinking water for your... More

What can we say about Osman in one word? Character. Jokes on the risky side but willing to help you see as much wildlife as you can. Good food great guide and tours. Even though we didn't get to see elephants did his best to get them and spent 4 hours trying. Rooms where good and location was great. Helped... More

Had a fab 2 nights staying here with Osman and his family. Great value for money. Food was yummy & a good variety. Rooms basic but clean and comfy. Saw lots of wildlife & even lucky to see orangutans in the wild! Recommend doing the morning & afternoon boat trips. Osman was informative on the birds & wildlife, also entertaining... More

If interested in the wildlife along the Kinabatangan river, look no further. Osman's is a family owned Homestay close to Sukau and a perfect starting point. The rooms are simple and well kept and Mrs Osman's food genuine and delicious. Let Mr Osman know what you're interested in, e g elephants, orangutangs, hornbills or even snakes, and he will do... We spent 2 nights with Osman and his family on the banks of the Kinabatangan. He is a great guy Steve Irwin of Malaysia. He grew up on the river and knows where to find all the wildlife from spiders to elephants and everything between. We found his phone number online on a review and called them and organised it....
