Loved our stay in The Acala, the staff here go above & beyond to ensure everything is perfect for you & we can not thank them enough for helping make our honeymoon so special.

Special mention to Putu, in the restaurant, he looked after us everyday and made our stay even better.

The room was like nothing I have experienced, looking out over some incredible scenery. The perfect place to escape for a few days, especially if you’ve been running around Bali beforehand like us. Also, this is a great point to pick up tours from, particularly over to Penida.

Actually we enjoyed our stay so much that we even extended a couple of days. So we had enough time to also explore Ceningan and Nusa Penida. Mr. Nur was taking care of everything. Whatever we needed, if breakfast earlier or later or transport or recommendations, to order food, he was always there. We felt very safe and comfortable. The room was cleaned daily, had a very comfortable bed and we could also use a second chair for working at the desk. The wifi was reliable. Highlight of the accommodation is definitely the view - absolutely stunning!! We managed to wake up early a couple of times to watch the sunrise from our terrace or the beautiful infinity pool area. I also loved the way the stuff was looking after the garden area. It was well maintained, neat and beautiful with all the flowers. I would definitely recommend staying at this wonderful oasis.

I love to travel and before any trip I do an extensive amount of research on hotels prior to selecting my accommodations. The Acala is a beautiful hotel with excellent staff. I stayed for 2 nights and overall enjoyed my stay however do want to caution travelers on some cons. First and foremost the hotel is about a good 15-20 min from the shore which requires travel on a bumpy dirt road. If you suffer from motion sickness I suggest to either take medication or select another hotel. The second con about the hotel is that there are mAny stairs. The Lobby is at the top of the hill and depending on the floor of your villa you may be required to climb 50+ stairs. If you are in shape this won’t be a problem but if not please be cautioned. If you are looking for a hotel to escape it all and have some R&R time without going anywhere but to lounge at the pool and enjoy many of the islands restaurant complimentary shuttle services this is the hotel for you. Also want to mention Lisa is a gem and graciously booked my snorkeling excursion. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This hotel is OK. It has a nice pool with a view. The staff are friendly too. The rooms are standard, bathroom is basic and looks tired, it clearly needs updating. The shower head is terrible and the water pressure is low. It is very difficult to get showered properly.
The location is not very good, you need a scooter to see the island as the hotel is located on the middle of a hill. The scooter we hired had been crashed many times by previous guests and should have been in a scrap yard. The steering pulled hard to the left as the tracking of the scooter had been damaged. The engine cut out when you were riding it often and it only had one wing mirror. Yes of course it had many broken fairings and scratches but this did not bother me, it was not a road worthy scooter at all! We hired scooters all over bali and they were all great but the scooter at this hotel (namely, number 5, should be at a scrap yard and would be classed as a write off anywhere else in the world). Before the hotel decides to respond to my review, they should understand that I have been riding scooters and have owned motorbikes larger than 600cc all of my life, with many years of experience as a competent rider.
For a hotel that claims luxury status, it is disgusting that they have not scrapped bike number 5! This is dangerous, I don’t say this very often as I am a huge risk taker but my advice to anyone arriving at this hotel, do not ride scooter number 5, they should be paying the guest to ride this scooter !
I asked different members of staff to change this but the better scooters were already rented out, so clearly death trap number ‘5’ was the only one they had left. They should have assisted us with an outside scooter order instead of taking money from their guests for something that horrific. They eventually offered us a scooter exchange a few hours before we were due to return the scooter but we were booked on a snorkelling trip and needed to leave immediately, so didn’t have enough time to switch at the last moment and wait for the exchange.
The food in this hotel was the worst quality we had both on the island and on the mainland, of Bali, it was pricey in comparison to other places and was bland, reheated and soggy.
Further, as with many Bali hotels, their bathrooms are located outside in the open, which is great and we are fond of this concept however, why would anyone have a large plant bed on the ground beside the toilet and shower, which attracts insects ? We had a huge huntsman spider on the floor next to the sink, ants inside the sink, snails hanging above our head, lizards everywhere and huge gaps between the bathroom door and bedroom, allowing insects to enter the room freely. I would recommend staying closer to the beach front.

We stayed on Acala for 8 night and enjoyed our stay. Staff is super friendly and helpful and did their best to make us enjoy our holiday.
We recommed to pick the room with seaview. Room was nice and clean and bed was comfy. Outside bathroom was good!
Hotel offers free rides on certain times a day, which is plus, because roads on Lembongan are really bad and distances quite long.
Infinity pool is as awesome as on pics!

Just excellent choise!

Great place to relax and escape the busyness of Bali.

We were upgraded to a deluxe room, which was beautiful and spacious, with a fabulous view over to the next island. The bathroom is ‘outside’ and maybe not as well designed as other bungalows we stayed in on our trip as the water from the shower moved over the whole area and didn’t drain too well (small issue).

Pool area is lovely, with comfy loungers, plenty of pool towels and a clean infinity pool with a view to die for. We had a lovely lunch from the restaurant around the pool.

Staff were very friendly, whether it was delivering room service or recommending and arranging transport for a lovely evening meal (Nick’s - go for the melt in the mouth ribs and lobster).

As other reviews say, yes, there were millipedes everywhere outdoors. They are found in all the surrounding areas (outside of hotel) so I can’t see what more the hotel could do about them. They blocked the room entrances with towels and this kept them out of our room. They were in the bathroom but don’t bother you. Also, the road to the hotel is really bumpy but you’re on a tiny island with basic infrastructure - the hotel offers port transfers, along with a free shuttle service to help you get around. We were able to walk 15 mins down the hill to the yellow bridge where there was a lovely Italian restaurant on the water.

Come to relax and take in tiny island life.

We stayed at the Acala for three nights and could not recommend it more. It’s location provides the most spectacular ocean views and across to Cenigan from the rooms, restaurant, and phenomenal pool. The rooms are beautifully designed, spotless, and well serviced. The service from the staff is excellent, their hospitality and kindness is unparalleled. We dined at the restaurant which had a varied menu and thoroughly enjoyed our choices, alongside an excellent and filling breakfast each morning. The hotel shuttle was a brilliant service and with optional pick up/drop off arranged at our convenience also. We would specifically like to recognise some members of staff who took that extra step to add to our holiday experience; Amellia, Eka and Parta took service to a whole new level, showing such excellent professionalism with true kindness throughout our stay. Such a hidden gem of a resort, highly recommend!

Great hotel I had 4 nights at as part of a multi-hotel package whilst in Bali. I was staying in the new building at the bottom of the hill, which was nice but lots of steps to pool area and even more to reception. Pool area is great, and views are stunning especially in the morning looking across to Nusa Ceningan. Breakfast is okay and the food is the restaurant the same, I chose to eat out after the first night. The hotel is secluded away from the main areas of the island, but the hotel do have a daytime shuttle which is handy. They also offer paid shuttle service outside of this which is extremely useful to enable eating out at some great restaurants, but does come at a cost. Overall great views, but not sure I’d go back unless could get a great deal on a room with private pool

We have stayed at The Acala Shri Sedana Resort for 2 nights.
The hotel is located 10 minutes by motor from Lembongan center

Must say that the crew is very professional, we had a lot of questions and they made sure we will know everything every time (even at night)!
Everything was very clean,
Bed was comfortable, AC was awesome.
Near the infinity pool there’s a great Restaurant that cooks wonderful dishes.
Great Massage.
The Shower has great hot water, Room was big, and we had place to put the luggages.

The Hotel is really well designed. Everything is inside the jungle, everything is very green!

Don’t need anything else.
We will come again for sure,
Thanks for everything.
Shachar and Adi.

We stayed at Acala Shri Sedana and it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant only had a couple options on the menu and the location is definitely far up in the mountain of the island, but that experience was completely priceless! Even scootering up to the Acala at night you're able to star gaze on the way there and also at the pool. Highly recommend!
