We loved every minute of our stay. Comfortable villa with all the facilities you need, lovely pool where we were often the only people there and really nice breakfast which the wonderful staff would serve on our balcony if we wanted. The location is 5 minutes walk to Sandy Bay or Dream Beach and 3 minutes to the lovely views at Sunset Point. If you want the long sandy beach with more beach front options then I guess the main beach would be a better location for you and these huts are a 20 minute drive from there. But, we loved it and hired great scooters from the villa to bomb around. With thanks to the amazing staff. I don't think I've ever stayed somewhere where they were so helpful.

Excellent value for money... great location, quiet and peaceful area, friendly staff (Noman is THE BEST!), tasty breakfast and nice villas. And it was great to find out that the rooms were cleaned like two times a day and in the evening mosquito nets were opened by the staff. It was such a pleasure to stay in Royal Retreat Villas and are definitely going to stay here again if we ever come back to Lembongan. It's difficult to find anything, which could have been any better. The staff really made our stay in Lembongan special. Thank you very much! :)

I booked this accommodation after visiting booking dot com site and seeing the photos there and reading carefully the facilities they offered. It is true to photos but they do not give the real story. It is a long way from anywhere and the 'retreat' has little to no facilities. According to the booking website the facility should have - \ Under Outdoors - Beachfront - well you cannot even see the coast Massage - (various types) - not available onsite instead they say 5 minute walk on dusty road Fitness centre - that they said was 20 minute walk No water slide - no pool fencing in case you are thinking of bringing children. No bar to go and have a drink - just a small kitchen room where they may have cold drinks available. No surrounding scenery - it is a narrow block with vacant land and other neighbours nearby. This and many other things listed are not there. You can obtain a motor scooter to get around but for me and my partner, and for this trip, it was not an option. Therefore recognising that it was not as advertised I tried to kindly cancel to go somewhere else suitable. The owner in another country (Australia) was quite indignant and refused. The booking agency then interceded and I received a partial refund. Please understand and I note - the staff at the facility are wonderful, the place is clean and the rooms ok... BUT for a Bali, Lembongan holiday where you go to see the water and lay in the sun - the Royal Retreat is a very bad decision. I have completed many fair reviews and never in my time have i experienced accommodation so thoroughly untrue to the descriptions it gives... It is not bad - just falsely advertised and disappointing when seeking a lovely Bali break.…

My husband & I spent 8 nights at Royal Retreat Villas and loved every moment of it. The hotel is a beautiful and peaceful place with lovely gardens and the most amazing pool area, we spent most mornings lazing around and enjoying the tranquil setting. The villas are clean, comfortable and are tended to 2 times a day. Breakfast was great and included in the price. The thing that really stood out the most for us was the staff, they were all wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. Ketut was great and arranged a snorkelling trip for us to manta point, Nyoman and Gede were amazing and always making us laugh and made us feel really welcome, they are a credit to the hotel and we are looking forward to returning next year to see them.

Beautiful Balinese villas (about 8 in total) strategically spaced out in their tropical garden (with Jackfruit, mango and banana trees) making you feel like you're a world away to really soak the serenity. The staff are definitely a highlight, they are kind, always smiling, friendly and helpful. The bed is one of the most comfortable (and biggest) beds we've ever laid on. The room is cleaned twice daily (they turn down your bed for you in the evening ready for you to jump into a peaceful slumber). Great rain shower with very decent water pressure as well as hot water. Salt water pool with plenty of sunbeds and towels provided. Massive breakfast to enjoy every morning (in your room or in dining area). For us the location was perfect, away from the crowd (if you can even call it that) but so close to the many awesome places with the best sunset views on the island (Cloudland, Sandy Bay beach club, Dream beach). Walking distance to mushroom and tamarind beach (around ten minutes) and about 1minute walk to the best spa on the island (Harumaya spa - look it up). We didn't see any kids during our seven days stay but the villas are definitely family friendly. There's a very comfortable day-bed in the room, the pool has a shallow side step running along the whole pool. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!!…
