The homestay is located a short distance away from the main road connecting Wonosobo to Dieng so, save for the prayer calls & occassional passing motorcycle it's quiet and more so later into the night It has 3 bamboo huts in the property. The walls, roof and furniture are made of bamboo. Even the doors and windows are hinged with bamboo! It's definitely a quirky experience. Bathroom is ensuite with hot water available and is clean & modern. Cleanliness, including bedding & sheets are impeccable for a homestay / hostel The common area is spacious: you have a big hut (pendopo) you can use to eat / play games / just chill. The garden is well maintained with some self grown plants as well During our stay, there was a water pressure issue but it seems intermittent & didn't bother us much. The rooms could do with a little bit more light though The proptietor, Tere stayed onsite during our stay. You should find her helpful with whatever your needs during the stay Overall, I like staying here. It’s well maintained, quiet and quirky. The management definitely puts more effort in running the property compared to similar business in the region. If you want to find a decent & proper place away from the crowd in Dieng area, this is it

Nice staff, hommie, only has 3 rooms, the room is big enough but add more light in the room. The location is not far away from main street (Jl.Dieng) but to get the location the street is small, only small bus, MVP or sedan.

Nice simple bamboo rooms, ensuite, with TV, clean and wide. Probably you don't need more than one night in the area, but it is a good idea to take the opportunity to visit the neighbour village for a stroll. If you plan to have dinner at the homestay you should order this in advance, but you will be rewarded with honest homey food.

This past month I traveled to the Dieng Plateau and, enroute, over-nighted April 19th at the Pondok Bambu Sendangsari Homestay near Wonosobo. What a delightful and refreshing stay. The Pondok Bambu consists of the family’s country home alongside of which are several well designed bamboo huts. My hut was clean, had a large bed protected with a mosquito net, and included a separate room with a toilet, sink and shower. The property is beautifully landscaped as are each of the neighboring properties harboring various food and ornamental crops. Because of it rural setting the evening was quiet and the sky above was clear. A large covered community area accompanies the huts and provides a place for people to visit, eat meals, play board games, or indulge in the coffee, tea and water that is made available to guests. My stay included a delicious breakfast of fried rice and fresh fruit. My hostess,Theresia, made every effort to accommodate my "odd hours" of comings and goings. The serenity and cleanliness of Pondok Bambu, following the busyness of traffic and general crush of people one encounters most days in Java, provided a welcome respite to my travel schedule. Thank you Theresia and Pondok Bambu!

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our two night stay here. As in the description this homestay is remote but certainly not peaceful with call to prayers nearby. There is no wifi which is unfortunate also for a very remote place with not much to do. This was our base for Dieng which was beautiful and I would recommend doing but I think we were ripped off by our driver (which we later found out to be the owners son!) as there were no other options for us to find an alternative driver with the wifi situation and location. You only need 1 night here. The owners also do not speak English so it was quite hard to communicate for the tour. However, they were friendly and hospitable. The food was also not ideal. There is only one option for dinner - boiled rice with duck or chicken (not like what we are used to with the feathers still attached) and breakfast was nasi goreng which is not the best having had rice the night before (and also spicy) - bring some pot noodles!
