Everything about this place is marvellous - I was fortunate enough to spot it while looking for somewhere "olde-worlde" and cosy, not too large and with a good food provision. This place, in an idyllic small village, ticked all the boxes. The staff, without exception, were outstanding throughout our stay and there was nothing that was too much trouble for...

We reserved the family room for two nights, the room itself was lovely, absolutely spotless and bright. The staff members Mark and Guiglio were wonderful, ever helpful, happy and enjoyable company. The food was good and nicely paced between courses. A very relaxing weekend.

Stayed for one night in Capability room, one of 4 rooms available. It was tastefully furnished with a comfortable bed, good linen and towels. The pub was quiet overnight and with no outside street lighting very dark so we had a wonderful nights sleep. Breakfast was good - can recommend the salmon. We had a bar lunch and dinner the...

We booked a double room and we're not disappointed. On arrival we were asked if we needed a hand with our bags etc by Mark. Had a great bar snack and were told that there no 'leaves' to go with our baguettes so had "free" chips, man they were great, crisp on the out side and fluffy on the inside....

The Hambro Arms served us so well! The food was amazing - definitely go there for a Sunday lunch. Modern and tasteful interior, decorated with countryside pictures and feathers, set the perfect country scene. Reasonably priced and the service is great. Would 100% come again and again.

Overnight stay in this wonderful pub, good beer and restaurant food very good. Friendly and helpful staff, told us interesting walks in this beautiful village. Low ceilings and our ensure toilet was very high, a real throne! Would thoroughly recommend this pub for exploring local area.

We had lunch here with my brother-in-law and his wife, and all enjoyed it very much. The setting is simply beautiful in this well known village. The food was good, and the beer well kept. The lunch menu was quite extensive, with a good choice. We ate in the bar, not the restaurant, but found it comfortable. Prices are on...

Lovely setting - stayed 3 nights - lovely welcome by young staff who carried case upstairs. Old building with very low ceilings and doorways (very difficult for anyone over 6ft ). Room comfortable but rather dingy not helped by grubby windows which were not clean and couldn't see out - discovered someone else's rubbish in bedside drawer. Felt like the...

This has got to be the best place to get a Club sandwich ever, the bacon was great as was the thick pieces of chicken. Very good value and very professional staff. And the place was spotless. Well worth a visit and some lovely thatch cottages nearby.
