Great atmosphere, great food and great staff......what more do you need, we had locally sourced fish, plenty of it as well!!!!! We only stopped for food but i can imagine the rooms are equally as good as everything else, the bar area was lively which was nice, locals were friendly and welcoming.

I've stayed at The Crown on several occasions, its a real home from home, perfect for a bit of escapism! The staff are friendly and always on hand when required - nothing is too much trouble, extra towels, soap and jugs of milk are no issue! The rooms are exceptionally clean as are communal areas. The food is out of...

As we booked in surprisingly early, just after breakfast, we were offered coffee by a very charming receptionist before dropping our bags in a pleasant and comfortable room in their stable block. This old hotel is very appealing with its old beams, wonky walls and shabby chic decor. This is what ancient hostelries should look like! Weatherbeaten dog owners trailing pets...

We had lunch here and were delighted to have found it! The atmosphere is lovely - and the food really first class. We had visited Framlingham Castle in the morning which was great, although it is covered in scaffolding at the moment and the house is closed for refurbishment - this doesn't take away from its historical inheritance but was...

I have been coming to Suffolk for over 30 years and haven't stayed here for a long while. I wasn't disappointed as the 2 night stay was fantastic. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast "offering" is second to none.We ate in the restaurant one night and that too is superb. We had a...

Went here for lunch on a Sunday. They do a sunday roast plus a small selection of other meals. I had ham duck eggs and chips and my husband had fish and chips. Portions were good, the meals were £12.95 each. Staff were attentive and helpful. Would recommend them.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Took us a while to get used to the creaking floors boards but what do you expect for such an old building? Also we were directly above the restaurant and sound travelled better through the floor boards than it did when you were actually IN...

We dropped into The Crown for coffee and cake mid afternoon. The staff were very friendly although the guy who served us was diffident to the point of timidity! Sad to say there were no cakes, just muffins, but the blueberry and chocolate chip muffins proved to be excellent - not dry like some. The seating in the pub was...

Been twice in last couple of weeks for lunch and on both occasions food was excellent with good portions. Once had the fish and chips where the portion size was actually too big. However overall good value but maybe not the sort of meal if you need to work in the afternoon. (Lighter alternatives were available!)
