We really had a great time at this hotel/castle. The staff was very nice and both check in and check out was a breeze. The breakfast was amazing with great views over the countryside. Wish we could have stayed to do more exploring. Only downside is room was cramped with 4 people. But very spacious bathroom.

We stayed here one night while visiting Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The castle is only about 10 miles away from that town. Other than that, it's not really near anything, which makes it even cooler. The grounds are beautiful, and of course the castle is unique and clean. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was great. All...

We stayed here during our trip to Germany. The grounds and view were absolutely beautiful. We almost just wanted to stay at the castle the whole time we were here, but went for a day trip to Rothenberg which is absolutely a must do. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Spent three nights at the Burg. The location is amazing, and how can one complain about staying in a castle? The breakfast was perfectly adequate, standard European fare, eggs, bread, cold cuts and cheese, jam and honey. More than enough to get you going for the day. Took a short 20 minute drive to Rothenberg and walked the entire day...

We stayed in a small double room for one night. The setting is absolutely beautiful. Parking was easy. We had a delicious dinner (and breakfast the next day) in the restaurant. Staff was accommodating with English speakers. I'm not taking points away from my review, but be warned that the walls are incredibly thin. You can hear regular conversations in...

We stayed one night after we visited Rothenburg. It was delightful. Deer were everywhere and the views from the castle were very pretty. I'm short and still bumped my head on some timbers in the bathroom, so be careful. The bed wasn't as comfortable as we were accustomed, but we were there for ambiance and the castle. We had dinner...

We got 2 rooms for our family of 5. It was so nice and so much fun to stay the night in a real castle! The bathrooms are totally modern, beautiful and extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable. We got a bottle of wine and sat in the courtyard and looked out over the valley. This was one of...

On our recent trip to Bavaria, this hotel was a real highlight! Imagine seeing an ancient castle up close and personal. Our room was modernized and comfortable, but most of the castle we were free to explore still had plenty of its original 13th century history. By dinnertime, it had become the proverbial dark & stormy night, but the staff...

We decided to take a break from the cities, towns and museums and booked 2 rooms in Burg Colmberg for 1 night and it has been a highlight of our trip. Less than an hour from Nurnberg by train (to Ansbach) and cab. We arrived early but the rooms were ready and checkin was smooth. The rooms were very cosy...
