We didn't know what to expect, as we never stay in B&B's, but this place is a real gem. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We stayed for 2 nights in May, and if in the area again, would always choose Timberstone. We were greeted by the very friendly and helpful owner, and a very welcome pot of tea and biscuits....

My husband and I booked last minute to stay at Timberstone, the hosts were extremely welcoming. We arrived from Somerset, after a very long wet journey, we were offered refreshment straight away which was very welcome. The bathroom although narrow was very well equipped. Timberstone is an old building with some modern extensions, all built with complete sympathy. Our room...

Every so often you find a gem of a B&B that you say you must stay at again. Timberstone falls into this unique category. In a sense in our top 10 and we stay at enough over the years of travelling to every corner of the UK. Tracey and Alex are so welcoming from the minute you arrive. Nothing is...

Set in a lovely remote location the house and rooms are well decorated. Nice views if you can sit out and enjoy. There is a friendly cat and doggy who often say hello. There is plenty of choice on the breakfast options. Knowledgeable owner and host Alex who likes a chat.

Very warm welcome, lovely surroundings. Excellent food. It is so nice here, and a perfect get away. Tracy and Alex have the décor and everything else just right. We stayed here for 2 nights. Wish it could have been longer, maybe next time. We cannot rate it highly enough. It also has the best tree house ever!

I stayed at Timberstone B&B for five days and cannot recommend it highly enough. Tracey and Alex are the perfect hosts and have achieved a perfect balance in the hospitality that they offer their guests. At once friendly and warm, understanding and at ease, my stay with them was notable for being completely free from fuss, for levels of comfort...

We are always looking for excuses to visit this part of the world so we can enjoy the tranquility and charm of Timberstone. The hospitality provided by Tracy and Alex is wonderful as are their cocktails and cooking. We feel they are family friends.

I booked the Timberstone Bed and Breakfast as a birthday get away treat for my parents. Going by the other reviews on here I had great expectations and I was not disappointed. My parents came back raving about the place; from the beautiful rooms to the amazing home cooked meals they had. Thank you for looking after them so well,...
