Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed in a three bedroom, poolside villa, which was lovely. Two bathrooms, three toilets, fully functional kitchen and lock up garage. The stairs and upstairs area/bedrooms had lovely, soft carpet. A strange thing to point out, I know, but it was just lovely. The villa had direct pool access - open the gate, step into the pool - which was amazing. The kids couldn't get enough of it. The pool is big and lagoon style with a heated spa attached, both of which we thought had generous opening hours. I think there is also a (smaller) heated pool there too, but as it was so hot, we didn't venture into it. Ducted air-conditioning, block out blinds/curtains and even a roof top dining area, but it would probably be more suited to the cooler months. You can walk to the beach and there are shops like a chemist, Subway, bottle shop amongst others, just down the road. The airport is very close by (if needed). Reception was very friendly and accommodating. In summary, we were sad to leave.

It was my first time staying at this resort and it was absolutely beautiful. Firstly we were greeted by a lovely staff member at the front desk. It was easy to find our apartment and so good to have a designated parking space. We walked into a clean room and the air conditioning was already on which was perfect as we had just driven 2 hours to get there. The pool and spa are AMAZING and the beautiful beach is a short stroll away through an access gate. The beds were so comfortable and it was a really lovely apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. (We had the 2bedroom). We are going back again in march and I can’t wait!

Best place to stay on the sunny coast, wonderful staff, excellent facilities and apartments. Pools are next level and soooo big! The beach is right there with outdoor showers to wash off on your way back in and everything you need is really close by. Can't wait to come back.

Room Tip: Unit 41 as a 2 bedder is great, set back just from the pool so a little more privacy.

Absolutely love Sand Dunes it’s like our second home. Have been staying there for over ten years on many occasions. It’s like our family has grown up here. Everything is perfect. Sophie and Marcus are such beautiful people who go above and beyond to make sure we enjoy our stay. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Relaxing everything is right there at this amazing place pools spa beach cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend a fabulous staycation again.

The complex is perfect for a group. Pool covers the length of the resort, with units having direct access. It is well maintained and staff are helpful and friendly. Walking distance to hotel for great food.

Do yourself a favour and check out this place! We have been staying here on and off since 2007. The kids have all grown up now but it is still our favourite place to stay. This time we stayed for 4 weeks Ground floor apartment, perfect access to the pool. We’ve loved our stay and we can highly recommend Sand Dunes to everyone!

We only stayed two days, but would happily have stayed a week. Great location with an amazing swimming pool just one step off our balcony. We also enjoyed the beautiful, big spa. Incredibly relaxing despite its proximity to the airport. The only issue was the teenagers who felt that the spa was their own private disco after dark. But, I blame that on the parents, not the resort.

We had an excellent stay at Sand Dunes Resort, apartments are spacious and well appointed. The back of our apartment exited into a nice little area with table and chairs which you could further exit via a pool gate straight into large spa, heated pool and huge lagoon pool. The beautiful beach is only minutes away as well. Shops are only a couple of minutes walk, as is Ramada's Surfair Beach Bistro. Staff at reception couldn't of been nicer, they really turn a nice place to stay into a great place.

Room Tip: Spa and heated pool can get noisy with kids through the day, maybe get an apartment away from these.

Fabulous resort with the white sandy beach just through the trees and apartments that back on to 2 large luxurious pools and a spa. Units are fully self contained, modern and comfortable. A home away from home with all the resort amenities including a gym. Staff are professional available and above all helpful, wonderful people.
