Best place to stay on the sunny coast, wonderful staff, excellent facilities and apartments. Pools are next level and soooo big! The beach is right there with outdoor showers to wash off on your way back in and everything you need is really close by. Can't wait to come back.

Room Tip: Unit 41 as a 2 bedder is great, set back just from the pool so a little more privacy.

Sand dunes resort is where we spend our yearly Christmas holiday. Our secret vacation spot we keep coming back too. Location is ideally situated on the Sunshine Coast, close to more popular areas but without the people. Apartments are very well maintained , pools are to die for and all surrounding areas beautifully kept. It’s on the beachfront , Mudjimba beach is on their doorstep with old woman island views , good surf and Marcoola surf lifesavers patrolling nearby. The best restaurant on the coast - LOOSE GOOSE - is 10minutes away in Twin Waters! At anytime of the year this is the only place I’d stay when visiting Sunshine Coast. (Now my secrets out :()

10/10 stay, would absolutely stay again. Room was comfortable, beds extremely comfy. Excellent air con. Lovely staff who made us feel so welcome. Couldn’t fault anything. 3 different pools to choose from, a larger non heated pool, another heated pool and a hot spa pool, divine! Something for everyone. A short 2 minute stroll to the beach. Looking forward to my next visit already. We stayed mid floor in a 2 bedroom and the setup was excellent with a great view over then pool

Sand Dunes Resort definitely exceeded our expectations!
The poolside villa was well appointed, clean and very comfortable.
The pool facilities are wonderful and check in and out was seamless and well communicated.

Being near the airport, some heavy aircraft traffic is to be expected - but we didn't find it to be annoying at all. It was infrequent and certainly within waking hours.

The resort's location, Marcoola, is a very well positioned town for short treks to other parts of the Sunshine Coast. It also has everything you need should you just want to kick back by the beach or stay at your villa. There is a complete variety of stores nearby for just about everything you may require.

Highly recommended - we'll be back for sure :-)

We stayed in a three bedroom, poolside villa, which was lovely. Two bathrooms, three toilets, fully functional kitchen and lock up garage. The stairs and upstairs area/bedrooms had lovely, soft carpet. A strange thing to point out, I know, but it was just lovely. The villa had direct pool access - open the gate, step into the pool - which was amazing. The kids couldn't get enough of it. The pool is big and lagoon style with a heated spa attached, both of which we thought had generous opening hours. I think there is also a (smaller) heated pool there too, but as it was so hot, we didn't venture into it. Ducted air-conditioning, block out blinds/curtains and even a roof top dining area, but it would probably be more suited to the cooler months. You can walk to the beach and there are shops like a chemist, Subway, bottle shop amongst others, just down the road. The airport is very close by (if needed). Reception was very friendly and accommodating. In summary, we were sad to leave.

This is a great place to stay with children. We stayed on the first floor , it has everything you would require all cooking items, washing machine, dryer, portable clothesline. Main bedroom quite large, ensuite bathroom a little small, twin room little small as well. The kitchen and lounge quite large. Swimming pool is huge with spa as well I huge hit with the kids ! Close to the beach as well.

Absolutely the best place for a family of all ages. The pool was truly within one step from our patio and the unit was fantastic for the 7 adults and one 2 year old. We can’t wait to come back again. The staff were friendly and welcoming too snd enough parking for our two cars. One in the garage and one on the driveway.

We had an excellent stay at Sand Dunes Resort, apartments are spacious and well appointed. The back of our apartment exited into a nice little area with table and chairs which you could further exit via a pool gate straight into large spa, heated pool and huge lagoon pool. The beautiful beach is only minutes away as well. Shops are only a couple of minutes walk, as is Ramada's Surfair Beach Bistro. Staff at reception couldn't of been nicer, they really turn a nice place to stay into a great place.

Room Tip: Spa and heated pool can get noisy with kids through the day, maybe get an apartment away from these.

The resort is beautiful and clean the apartment was amazing clean modern and we had a pool view. My only dislike was.the smoking around the area. People smoking on there balconies etc. When around the pool the smell of smoke is terrible. Very disappointed by this. Plus take bin bags as U need to take your own rubbish and they only provide you with one bag per bin.

Our room had everything we needed. We were close enough to get in the hustle and bustle but far enough away for leave and quiet.
The apartment was clean and the pool and spa area easily accessible and was very relaxing to look at from our balcony at night time. We could hear the waves from our room.
