My wife and I have just returned from a wonderful two night stay at the Angel Inn. The service was exceptional - all staff were friendly, helpful and (although exceptionally busy) always had a smile on their faces. The food was excellent and reasonably priced and our room was very comfortable. It was set up in a romantic style for... More

Sister pub at Monks Eleigh is getting better every time I visit whereas thi was really not good today. I had a party of five and we were all disappointed, dry fish and chicken dishes. £15 for a first course sized liver and bacon was rediculous. Looking around most other guest had opted for fish and chips or scampi with chips.... More

Visited for our weekly date night in October with my husband. Really liked the feel of the place as soon as we stepped through the door. The open fire was going, nice beams, very welcoming feel. We were shown to our table which was in a lovely spot and was busy but not loud which was nice. Menu is very... More

Fantastic atmosphere, food, drink and prices. I feel so lucky to have found this lovely place. Have visited for just a drink, a beautiful meal or even stay in one of the amazing rooms at really reasonable prices.

Great setting with a warm welcome from staff. A menu with lots of interesting choices. Dishes were well presented and attractive, but the flavours were average. My Scallops didn't zing in the mouth. The Spatchcock Chicken on a spicy curry theme didn't wow. And the sharing Cheese Board was underwhelming. We enjoyed some great wines.

However the staff were great allowing us to collect the keys early and showing us how to get in if the pub was closed. we arrived back before closing time and were well looked after in the... More

We recently stayed here for a 60th Birthday Event which my Mother organised. From the moment we got out of the car we were taken in with the building and its decor. Really lovely setting, very helpful staff who showed us to our rooms. The drinks and canapes were stunning! Each room was slightly different to one another which added... More

Together with a friend we celebrated a birthday lunch at The Angel. Although we arrived a little later than booked we were greeted by a friendly face and assured it was noiproblem. The meal was delicious beautifully presented, fresh produce and tasty. Together with a glass of wine the price was very reasonable and I will certainly book another table.... More

Warm welcome on arrival, shown to our room (5) which was beautifully furnished , vaulted ceiling and very comfortable bed. Big fluffy towels and nice toiletries supplied. Breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day in the beautifully appointed Well Room, our breakfast waiter all week was attentive and everything was served promptly, hot, fresh & delicious....
