We stayed there for one night. The lift wasn’t working and we had to carry our luggages in the third floor. The room were big (and you have a nice view of the mountains) but the towels were smelling horrible. It was very very hot in the room during the night. The breakfast was very light.

Two things save this hotel from being characterized as Terrible, the cleanliness in our rooms and the breakfast. A short glance into the kitchen was a sharp warning not to have dinner at this place. There was a dog walking in and out of every room, including the kitchen. There was dirty laundry on the floor, and there was a very unpleasant odor meeting you as you entered the hotel. The smell of old food, bad ventilation, no open windows... We were hardly offered any kind of service when needed. It seemed like we were standing in the way of the old woman running the business, like she didn't realize we represented her income. The parking lot became a problem. We were "parked in" twice, and to avoid that, we had to leave our car somewhere else. With rooms on the 3rd floor (2nd in French and British standards) we had no wifi in our rooms. I travel a lot, and I have tried several different hotels and hostels. Never have I paid so much for so little. I found this hotel at "Hotels.com". I recommend that they remove it from their site.

Great hotel as a base if you are planning to do the Furka, Gothard, Grimsal, Susten, Nufuen passes. Rooms are functional, and are warm, with good temperature control. The shower was excellent, great pressure and temperature control, the only thing to watch out is the big step to get in and out. I had dinner there as well, with a limited choice, but what they did, they did it very well. Breakfast start at 7.30, but the owners was ok for me to have it earlier. She also lended me the use of a charger for my phone. Great family run hotel. Definitely recommend.

A group of 12 of us stayed here for 2 nights. We arrived on motorcycles soaked through to the skin after a really wet day and we could not have been made more welcome. The hotel is family owned and it shows, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is a little dated in appearance but that is very soon forgotten when you get inside and meet the family. the food was fantastic, the bar was fantastic and the views were fantastic. Very highly recommended.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a cycling trip in Switzerland and it was fantastic. It is brilliantly located to get out to the Nufenen and Furka passes. The rooms are clean, quiet and spacious. The views are simply outstanding and Hilde is the perfect host. The Restaurant was very good too. We normally try to eat at different locations, but the food was so good we ate there two of the three nights we were staying. (The salmon & local pasta was exceptional). I would thoroughly recommend staying there and very much hope we will be back again.
