We, were part of a 20 person tour group, that were lucky enough to be staying at The Louise, when the South Australian Health Department put us in a 14 day mandatory quarantine for the Corona Virus.
The suite accommodations are luxurious, extremely clean and the bed is comfortable. The bathroom is amazing. It has heated bathroom floors, heated towel racks, a large jacuzzi type tub, a HUGE rubber Ducky, an outdoor shower and separate sinks for his and her. This bathroom is a dream for anyone, and we loved it. The suite also has a walk-in type closet and has an incredible outdoor, private patio, with lounge chairs to watch the kangaroos or the beautiful sunset. The suite also comes with a complimentary mini-bar that includes a bottle of wine and 25 year old port from Seppeltsfield that is truly delicious and was very welcoming. We ate breakfast in the dining room each day, till we were under the quarantine and the blueberries muffins are what culinary dreams are made of. Although, just about everything here is perfect, the staff is what made our quarantine so special. They went above and beyond to take care of us, help us get over the virus. Kylie, Mel, Simone, the chef and everyone, were simply fantastic. If we ever visit the Barossa again, we will only stay here.

Room Tip: Any room, they all have private patios, but I would ask for a sunset view.

We stayed here as part of a wine tour across Australia and The Louise was the BEST! It is centrally located in the Barossa with large well appointed suites and a great bar with two restaurants serving such delicious food, that we had to get a few of their yummy recipes. The rooms are spacious with everything you'd expect of a luxury property plus a private outdoor shower and a patio with views of the vineyard. We made good use of the fitness facility, beautiful infinity edged pool, and washing machine. The hotel has a Tesla charger which we'd have used if we brought our electric car. We appreciated the comfortable bed, complimentary mini-bar, the great layout of the luxurious bathroom, the Seppersfield port in the room, the internet, and the Smart TV that let us watch so many programs. The best part of the The Louise is definitely the staff who are warm, friendly, and go out of their way to accomodate any unique needs of their guests. We felt extraordinarily well cared for and look forward to returning again.

My wife and I visited last month during an extended tour of Australia. Recently refurbished, the Louise is wonderful. The suite we stayed in (7) was spacious with a separate seating area, large bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers, and an incredibly comfy bed. Lots of places can have nice rooms, but the Louise has Nathan the Customer Experience Director. From the moment we arrived he seemed to be there whenever we needed something - mention you're heading to the pool? Nathan shows up with a bottle chilled rose, just in case. And the rest of the staff was just as professional, friendly and competent. Dinner, bed and breakfast were included and the dinners were multicourse affairs with paired wines, usually from the Barossa or other SA vineyards. The location is excellent for whatever you want to do in the Barossa. We would return here in a heartbeat.

We had a very pleasant weekend at The Louise. The staff were exceptional, however we found some things a bit lacking in the luxury department.
OK, everyone wants to be green, but seriously, buy a few newspapers. We are quite used to hotels these days wanting you to read the paper on an iPad. However, when we enquired about a paper, we were told " Sorry, lots of people ask for them" Your not saving the planet, just annoying guests- as we had to drive to Nuri to get one.
I guess I worked out why they close for the month of July. There is no heating in the bathroom. Not even a heat lamp in the lighting (would have been easy to add) So a soak in the tub saw my husband boiling the kettle to warm it up, as the cold room, huge tub and tepid water from the tap left it luke warm.
Apart from those annoying things, it is a really nice property, just at this price point there shouldn't be annoyances. The turn down service is amongst the best anywhere.
I feel she has been resting on her laurels, while more and more competition creeps up, and then passes. I look forward to seeing the changes made by the new owners, as their properties are sublime.

This was out first stop of a three week trip, and it was fantastic.
Slightly unassuming from the outside and I suppose the only "drawback" is that space is a bit tight and there are no large hotel gardens. That does not spoil what is a simply wonderful boutique hotel.
As we left our car, we were greeted by a charming Australian receptionist (spotted on the CCTV-clever). Suites are just that; with a lovey courtyard catching evening sun, great bedroom, huge bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower, a separate little sitting room, and another terrace facing the other way for morning sun. Lovely swimming pool with gret views.
Serious food in one of two restaurants: one multi-course degustation and the other more simple.
All in all, lovely; and would stay 3 nights next time.

My husband and I had three nights at The Louise. We arrived on a Saturday in torrential rain but we were greeted warmly by Darcy who gave us a welcome drink, a tour of the hotel and our room and gave us suggestions of local things to do
Room 7 was lovely. We didn’t use the outdoor shower or sitting areas outside but they would be great in warmer weather. Everything is included at The Louise. The minibar was stocked with handmade treats, drinks and two bottles of wine which were all replenished daily
Dinner was a highlight. We enjoyed the different menus and the matching wines were a great way to explore different varieties of wine from some of the many Barossa wineries. Wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable
Breakfast was also delicious. It started with a breakfast basket with yogurt and pastries then we chose a hot item. Linda was very friendly and pleasant
We found lots to do close by to the hotel but we also enjoyed staying in our room. The bed was super comfortable and spoils you for other hotels. Toiletries made locally were a great touch
After dinner at turndown service a teapot with sleep tea was delivered
We would love to return to The Louise and also stay at some of the other hotels. Thanks for a fabulous stay

My wife and I was gifted a voucher for one night at this amazing property but decided we would make a weekend of it and so happy we did, from the minute you arrive at the Louise you are greeted at the entrance and taken in to a lounge and served a arrival cocktail and a snack then we were asked did we have any dietary preferences then we were shown around the property before being taken to our suite. Our bags had been taken to the room and the cloths hung in the wardrobe we had on coat hangers perfect start. The stay just got better, the facility the food, the pool all amazing but the best aspect of this property was 100% the staff nothing was to hard, would have to be the friendly staff I’ve ever come across in many years of travel outstanding. Highly recommend definitely will be back thank you all so much.

PS the head chef is a champion (Asher) Cheers

Wonderful hotel, excellent professional staff. Got a free upgrade, the room was great with loads of thoughtful touches. Highly recommended.

We ate the first night at Appellation where the food and wine was excellent and the second night at the bar where the food was simpler, but still
delicious.

Minor nitpicks..
1. the bar could do with being properly decorated and given a bit of comfort and character
2. The waitress who served us breakfast spoke to us in an artificially friendly high pitched tone like you would speak with a two year old child, it was really quite annoying.

We recently had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at the Louise over a weekend and were very happy.
Our room was one of the suites overlooking the vineyards and was well maintained with all the expected luxuries.
Bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Bathroom and choice of rain head inside or outside shower was great.
Complimentary mini bar and nuts and biscuits were great for pre dinner sampling.
We ate at both restaurants (seperate reviews) and were very happy.
We ate breakfast outside each day under the verandah and soaked up the views of the bursting vines. Very happy with the choices and quality.
Enjoyed the swim in the pool.
Given it was quite cool still, the heated pool was a real plus!
Staff through out our stay were outstanding.
Loved it.
We will return!

Thought long and hard before saying this……. this is the best hotel experience I’ve ever had.

From the staff, the service, the property, the restaurant and bar. Their attention to detail, quality and care is exceptional.

Nathan met us at our car, showed us around our suite and made us feel immediately at home. Kyle and the team at Appellation (the fine dining restaurant) could do no wrong and the degustation experience next level (with epic wine parings from the local vineyards).

And the tiny details - like staff ducking in and laying out a calming sleep time tea in a pot (and ensuring the kettle was full) before we retired for the night in front of our private fireplace did not go un-noticed.

Hello Helen .. I am not sure either about this but at the Hotel there is no campervan site though there are some close by in the various towns. The Louise has a pool for registered guests. It is a lovely place to stay if you want some time out from the van! Kind regards jane
