The Louise is a beautiful, well run luxury hotel. With only 15 suites everyone gets personalized attention. My husband and I loved staying there. The food was also delicious and the wine pairings excellent. We recommend this hotel without reservations.

We just had an amazing long weekend staying at The Louise. It was our first trip to the Barossa and staying at The Louise was a highlight. The place is fantastic and a luxurious place in every aspect, we got to spend time by the pool and with our fire in our room due to changing weather. The staff made it for us and a huge shout out to Nathan who was incredibly helpful and obliging. Would definitely recommend The Louise and we will be back.

This was a surprise stop on our anniversary trip and we loved it ! We arrived just before dinner and we’re welcomed at our car by Nathan who I call Mr. Delightful as he really is a joy and so helpful. He and the rest of the amazing staff answer every “can I?” question with an “of course you can!” not sure if this is a part of their training or just a wonderful coincidence but this is a can do place! Multi course dinner with more courses then they say was fabulous every night and included a generous wine pairing and wonderful service. before dinner a box of canapés arrives at your sitting place of choice ( the speakeasy or outdoor deck with blankets is nice) along with the gin of the day cocktail or wine. i arrived a non gin drinker but left wanting to explore more. the rooms are good sized and wonderful views. love the fluffy towels, bathrobes and gas fireplace which can heat the whole room. bedtime tea is nice touch and also a well stocked minibar, nespresso, teas and treats. Special shout out to the amazing staff including Connie, Darcy, Kiera, Tess, Hazel, Mandy, Laura and apologies to others whose names I’m forgetting. Wonderful wines in the area and staff helpful in setting up tours or whatever needed. the breakfast with the kangaroos with Ben is a special start to the day. Loved it all and can’t wait to return!

Went to the Louise last weekend to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary We often stay in a whole range of hotels and are happy to pay for a nice place to stay and a good experience, but for us, The Louise was a luxury, a splurge, a treat. The Louise is expensive. It is worth it? Absolutely. From the initial booking you are made to feel a valued guest, upon arrival we were greeted in a welcoming and friendly but not gushing way with our bags efficiently dealt with. You arrive to beautifully maintained gardens and driveway. The views and the feeling of serenity is fabulous. You need to arrive and just unwind and become unhurried in everything. The check in process is relaxing and enjoyable, the suites are spacious (we stayed in the entry level stonewall suite) and contain everything we needed. The outdoor shower is amazing (even on a cooler day). There is a Bluetooth speaker in the room, I’m not great with that stuff and couldn’t pair it but there is u-tube music available through the tv. There are outdoor seating areas at the front and rear of your villa offering comfortable, private places to sit and relaxing just soaking up the views. The lounge area in the main building is great with games on the tables and comfortable seating Appellation catered for my dietary requirements wonderfully, with just slight tweaks to my dishes that meant I fully enjoyed practically the same dinner as my husband, with all dishes and wines explained. The pool area was closed during our visit but looks fabulous and there is a small but very functional gym with amazing views. Attention to detail and great staff are the key here. The bed is super comfortable and my only negative comment would be that the carpet in the room could do with either a deep clean or replacing Taking the experience as a whole - this is the best place I have ever stayed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would love to return one day.

The entire experience at the Louise leaves you feeling both relaxed and very lucky. The service is both friendly and attentive and the all inclusive 6* package is a novelty - it’s an entirely new twist on all inclusive with phenomenal food and wine pairings and a different tasting menu each day. The rooms are immaculate with free stocked bar and snacks etc - hard to fault in any way!

Beautiful experience at The Louise. Stunning room and so peaceful. The breakfasts are sensational and we ate at Appellation and Contour. All meals were delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Connie. We visited Maggie Beers restaurant, Yalumba Winery for a tour and wine tasting and Pindarie for a delicious lunch. Everything is very close to The Louise. Thank you for a wonderful four night stay. We will definitely be back.

Our return visit to the Louise after a number of years was really special. The staff were all amazingly friendly and welcoming, and arranged bike hire for our stay so we could enjoy the Barossa bike trail. The room was also lovely and the meals in the restaurant were outstanding. We will look forward to our next stay!

My wife and I visited last month during an extended tour of Australia. Recently refurbished, the Louise is wonderful. The suite we stayed in (7) was spacious with a separate seating area, large bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers, and an incredibly comfy bed. Lots of places can have nice rooms, but the Louise has Nathan the Customer Experience Director. From the moment we arrived he seemed to be there whenever we needed something - mention you're heading to the pool? Nathan shows up with a bottle chilled rose, just in case. And the rest of the staff was just as professional, friendly and competent. Dinner, bed and breakfast were included and the dinners were multicourse affairs with paired wines, usually from the Barossa or other SA vineyards. The location is excellent for whatever you want to do in the Barossa. We would return here in a heartbeat.

From the moment we arrived we knew that this would be a special stay and that 2 nights wouldn’t be enough. Nathan greeted us and we had a welcome cocktail and delicious little snack. Check in was fast. Our suite was simply furnished but absolutely stunning. So big too. Complimentary wine, snacks, drinks, nibbles in a superbly equipped room. Amazing bathroom with double sinks, jetted bath tub, inside and outdoor shower. Bath salts, candles and toiletries. I spoke to housekeeping about the wonderful turndown service. We got back to our room after dinner and it was incredible. Kettle just boiled, Goodnight Louise tea all ready to go, candles on and room all expertly prepared. We’ve stayed in many premium hotels and experienced no turn down like it. The bed was one that I could’ve spent a whole week in. Pre dinner drinks on the terrace, amuse bouche, and dinner with matching wines was very good with a lovely view of the sunset. We were up early to go on a trek to see the Roos. Great packed breakfast and wine. Ben was fantastic- an experience not to be missed. I loved it all and would go back in a heartbeat. The only thing missing is provision of lunch, however, we visited Yalumba wine cellar and had a great time. Thank you very much to every member of staff at The Louise.

My wife and I was gifted a voucher for one night at this amazing property but decided we would make a weekend of it and so happy we did, from the minute you arrive at the Louise you are greeted at the entrance and taken in to a lounge and served a arrival cocktail and a snack then we were asked did we have any dietary preferences then we were shown around the property before being taken to our suite. Our bags had been taken to the room and the cloths hung in the wardrobe we had on coat hangers perfect start. The stay just got better, the facility the food, the pool all amazing but the best aspect of this property was 100% the staff nothing was to hard, would have to be the friendly staff I’ve ever come across in many years of travel outstanding. Highly recommend definitely will be back thank you all so much. PS the head chef is a champion (Asher) Cheers
