Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It took time to decide whether or not to stay here... I wanted to find a ryokan with private onsen ... not so many pictures you can see from the reviews.... but somehow I had read all the comments and made my decision to stay... The hotel is far from the Bibai station but you can get there by bus also (I didnt carry much) ... The private onsen was great ... open-air and large enough to fit in 2 people ..... room was fantastically equipped... The public onsen could be busy at daytime but at night it was quiet and early morning was empty... The outdoor onsen was pretty ... Overall the place was well-maintained, clean... I booked room with dinner and breakfast... I was impressed by the great hospitality and so much food at dinner ... it gave me pleasures to stay and feel the Japanese style of living... and not so busy with tourists...LOVE IT ....

This onsen has the highest standards for service and cleanliness that I have experienced in traveling Japan for 10 years. Water temperature is displayed on large digital thermometers and are expertly managed to allow participates the full onsen experience.
You do not have to stay in the hotel to experience the onsen. Day tickets can be purchased without reservations. It can be reached in 5 minutes by taking a taxi from the JR stop. Staying in the hotel allows enough time to appreciate the onsen (indoor and outdoor), a dinner or breakfast in lower level restaurant, and Park Golf that can be viewed from the eating area.
Ask about discount tickets if you plan to attend regularly. We travel from far to experience this wonderful setting. This is one of those recommendations to reward great service, but one that I hope does not make this stop too crowded in future trips!
