This ryokan is right opposite the airport. It has less of the seaside / forest experience compared with other accommodation in yakushima. However, the service and the people working there made our stay a memorable one. Definitely recommend the half board option as the dinners there are very good, and the longer you stay, the better each meal gets! The...

Super convenient for the airport so I decided to use it as a tour base, have a basic Japanese room which is as described, the staff in the hotel and enjoined restaurant are excellent and very friendly, island prices but nothing crazy and the food has been good

We stayed here for one night, just a few steps from the airport, drug store and supermarket nearly by, convenience to everywhere in the island, staff were nice and helpful, hotel offer hotspa which you could relax after hiking.

So convenient to stay at the MANTEN whenever you happen to be around UNESCO listed YAKUSHIMA. 30.000 a night including 2 meals for 2. So Japanese : -You'll never forget the dinners served here, it is not dinning, it is watching and immerging into art, and Japan at its best -Go naked at the onsen after a hard day hiking......

Stopped by mid-afternoon to try out their onsen (note that we did not stay at this hotel so I can't comment on their accommodation or meals.) There's parking on site.
