Great place to stay, monks so friendly. Must experience the morning prayers, even though had no idea what was going on, it is intriguing to be there.

We took the local bus to Okunoin which worked out fine and a taxi back to Fudoin. You could walk it but it's a fair hoof. We did the night tour and had no problem getting back to Fudoin or in. You might let the desk monk... More
